  1. Cincy St. X came in with a ball control game plan and did a great job of keeping the Trinity engines from firing on all cylinders. They were a very disciplined team with good talent. Had huge success keeping Mr. Quick in check. The X coach should have taken the FG midway through the 3rd quarter. Instead, T holds X on 5 plays inside the 5 yard line - no points. Field position was bad for T all night, largely due to superior kicking by X and sub par punts by T. The game ball has to go to Mr. Dawkins though. He is hurt, didn't start, but came in and gave the team a boost like no other. on the last 80 yard drive I bet he had 65 of them including the TD. This one was by no means a Picasso, but it will hang in the "W" hallway. The Rocks showed a lot of guts on a night when things were not going their way. Props to Cincy St.X for again giving the Rocks a major battle.
  2. I concur with all the concurers..... This is going to be one of this years toughest however...IMO
  3. Undecided... whichever I attend the other will be on my radio! If I come to X can I sit with you?
  4. The battle with Doss was the perfect prep game for this match up. The Tigers now know everything they won't see vs Moeller. This could be the start of the longest losing streak the school has seen in a very long while.
  5. PRP will likely head into the 10-26 game vs Central without a loss. The combined record of their opponents to date is like 4-11 and it doesn't get much tougher. Good chance PRP will lead the area in points per game until the playoffs.
  6. While I tease a lot about St. X football, I hate to see a young man pass on a St. X education just so he can play football. Perhaps there is more to the story and it really is not my business but I see this as a FUMBLE!!!
  7. Nice win for the Raiders!!!! Xtiger makes a very good point in prior post.
  8. Much closer than I would have thought. Were the 23 points all 4th quarter scores?
  9. Looks like Male's 3-0 record was paper mache, or a very nice win for Lex Cath.
  10. Question to Rock fans... does anyone think Louisville St. X is better than anyone T has played thus far? I don't.
  11. In a monsoon Trinity wins 19-13. Dawkins swims for 108 yards and Quick has 7 dives for 99 yards and 2 TDs. Noah's ark halftime show is a big hit. Rain-storms in the forcast...
  12. Agree with everyone who has posted.... can anyone offer any reason why this game was scheduled?
  13. The (2-1) Tigers square off against the (1-2) Dragons... how do we see this one?
  14. I was just starting to believe all the post about the Tigers and then they go and lay this egg. Where is all this alleged speed on defense and the penalty fairy visits way too often. This tropical depression may just turn into a hurricane as Doss next week will do absolutely nothing to right the ship.... then Moeller, then Central, then.... Oh man... start piling the sandbags. Hats off to a revamped BG team that dug themself a hole early but kept sticking it to the Tigers... 38 sticks to be exact. 86 points given up in the past two games... ouch.
  15. Where is Travis Wright (Trinity) in this conversation?
  16. I don't care if he rushed for 500 yards, if the team can't score points what good is it? You can look at the schedule and figure out who the teams with defense are, but if you need help... it's not Doss
  17. I went back and looked at the film and saw like 14 points in 2 games. If that's just slowing him down then I would take that any day. C'mon man, come back to reality. Now as to this year, you can't judge anything from the Fern Creek game. Boasting numbers from that matchup is pathetic. DF a better test but not close to the best defenses X will see this year. Having said that, it is clear that all the eggs are in the running basket again this year as 7-14 passing against DF (DBs were listed as a team weakness) is not going to cut the mustard. Not having a passing game will spell doom down the road. Now, as to this game vs. BG, I'm sure the rushing attack will post impressive numbers but keep an eye on the passing game... or lack of it. X wins this 35-21.
  18. Ballard draws the toughest team every year in this Classic... maybe next year they will let them pick their opponent.
  19. 3rd down td run by X.... and the kick is........
