TO SEED OR NOT TO SEED, WHAT IS YOUR OPINION AND WHY?
Most of the AA's already play in the All A.

High School Softball or AAU B-ball???
I think the minority is larger than you think it is! I can name MANY instances, just off the top of my head, where girls are upset about who plays and how much, despite the fact that the team won. I've asked some others who have coached girls and they agree.

High School Softball or AAU B-ball???
Am I the only one that realizes the hard feelings that girls tend to have when that "back-up" player only gets to play when the two-sport star decides something else is more important. My experience has been that there is massive dissention on the team when things like that are happening.

Not sure what to think of this.....
It's an awful big assumption to think that someone would take over the girls program with the understanding that Pete gets it back whenever he wants! You know what happens when you assume!

East Carter 42 Raceland 41
First of all, a big congratulations to East Carter on the win. They never gave up and kept plugging away. I know the Raceland girls are very disappointed, but like it has already been stated, they have nothing to hang their heads over. This senior group has been involved in defining Raceland girls basketball. During their time playing, they have contributed to a lot of firsts for Raceland. The first 20 win season, the first back-to-back regional semifinal appearances, first All 'A' regional title, first ever win over Russell, first district title, and I'm sure I've probably left out a few. While this season may have ended sooner than we all would have liked, the legacy of this season and this group of girls will live on.

Mourning in Ram Land. It's a blown ACL.

Rachael went for an MRI at about 12:30. Don't know when she'll get results.

Raceland 63 Russell 62
:dancingpa CONGRATULATIONS LADIES!!! Thoughts and prayers with Rachael. She went down in the exact same spot on the floor as three other injuries in this tournament. I walked over that spot after the game and there is a definite dip in the floor. Lewis County definitely needs to look at maintenance on their floor. How is it that Russell could only manage to have 5 students in their student section?!

Title IX scheduling-Please Clarify
The problem is not that girl's coaches do not want to schedule prime time games, it is that boy's coaches do not want to change their schedules to allow it to take place. Also, I believe, only home games count for prime time.

GREAT win for the Lady Rams. Almost brought tears to this Ram's eyes! Years of being denied by West Carter and now light at the end of the tunnel! Take care of business Saturday night ladies!

The other official for the game was also working the next game and stated that his partner did NOT call a foul, but called the shot no good. There are also reports that at the beginning of the first over time the official in question told the Lincolon County coach that there would not be a second one! Just hearsay I know, and I don't want to take anything away from a very talented and hardworking Lincoln County team. They played some very good defense.

Well Yak, I guess the bus driver practiced safe driving before this game!

Reid finished with 29 points. She is a very impressive player. If more of her team mates were more involved they could be a very good team.

Lopsided scores
I too have been on the short end of a lopsided score (more than once!) and there are different feelings associated with some of them. For instance, the late "Hop" Brown at West Carter could beat you by 50 and you NEVER felt as though he was running the score up. He called off the press and his subs were just superior to our team. There have been other times when the referee has stated that he would end the press. He simply kept calling fouls until the opposing coach called off the dogs. Sometimes, because of conferences and seeding issues a mismatch cannot be helped, but there is never a reason to humiliate a kid.

Not an upset in Raceland's eyes.

Russell's Jessica Fortman verbals to Buffalo
Congratulations! I've always believed that she was the key to Russell's success.

Congratulations to Kala Faulkner
Congratulations! It was a pleasure to watch this young lady improve and mature over the years. I know she will be highly successful.

Why Men Hate Going to Church
I have to agree with Yak on this one. If it is Spirit led than I think length is of little importance. I have sat through lengthy sermons without ever glancing at my watch because time seemed to fly. And I've also sat through 20 minute eternities!

Should You "Market" Your Church?
I am not against the kids playing ball. Anyone who knows me knows that! However, I know of some churches where mention of the gospel is rare to nonexistent in the "youth group." Like I said before, play ball and that's all.

Should You "Market" Your Church?
I have a real problem with churches enticing youth with gymnasiums and then never sharing anything about the gospel with them. It's always come play ball and that's all! Now don't get me wrong. I don't have a problem with churches building gyms, just in how some of them are used or misused.
