  1. I agree, I look back on any of Mayfield's past lopsided victories and its only because our freshman or JV squad was just that good. It doesn't matter if the defense wasn't putting any pressure on your QB all night, the fact that he was running and throwing the ball all night was subjecting him to potential injury. The biggest problem with it is all those kids on the sidelines that need the experience, if Haskins keeps it up, he'll have problems in those key games where those reserves make the difference, you can bet Calloway is taking notes.
  2. I think that Paducah Tilghman is pretty underrated at #7 right now, but its understandable with their record, but they have played some great teams right down to the wire, (Graves and Christian County). I expect them to be right at the top come middle to end of the season.
  3. They said it, but I am not quite sure exactly sure on the exact number, something like 760 something and 240 something so its at least .700. If I'm not mistaken, Mayfield is still in the top 10 in wins in the country.
  4. I heard on the coaches show this morning that this upcoming Mayfield/Ballard Memorial game is going to be the 1000th football game. I hope we have some kind of award or something we can put in the school, that would be so cool. It all started back in 1911 with the first game being Mayfield vs. Paducah Tilghman I believe. It would have been so cool if we could have scheduled Tilghman for that game but oh well.
  5. Man, parking was rough, but I hear that is being worked on. I was amazed at the long line getting your ticket, you would think they would have a few more folks selling tickets than one table.
  6. WOW, its still a lot closer than I expected, sounds like the Lakers gave em a good game.
  7. I went to the game too and a friend of mine was saying that Ft. Campbell scored most of their points against Graves in the second half, looks like Tilghman did better in the second half as well. Is Graves just not conditioned to last 4 quarters?
  8. I think soccer helps out BIG TIME!!
  9. Think theres any inkling of a Mayfield/McCallie matchup down the road? (Hint, Hint)
  10. Isn't HS Football great? I just wish I would have been a fan a lot longer ago than 2002, I missed out on some really great games!!
  11. Good Night!! Look at #67, he is HUGE!!
  12. Their QB is just a sophomore and he is something else, I forgot his name but I would expect to hear big things from him in the years to come.
  13. Great 1st picture, I was so excited to hear we were getting the cardinal head in the center of the field, I was told it was going to take 5 gallons of paint for that!!
  14. Wow, I wish I would have went to this game now!! Looks like a high scoring event. Anybody have any stats on this game?
  15. Sounds like Bardstown is looking pretty good this season, good luck this year, :thumb:
  16. I am surprised at the score, maybe Murray is better than folks thought??
  17. Yeah, they looked real good, just gotta work on those turnovers, it would have added 1 to 2 more scores to this total!! Noonan did look good, I didn't think he would get to play this early but with Trevarthen getting injured I guess things had to change. Does anyone know how serious his injury was? I saw him walking around in the last quarter, it looked like he got hit in the back. I think Heath showed some good offense, Wright is the real deal, they had him running, throwing and punting, the kid just wore out!!
  18. Which team won? Murray or Beechwood?
  19. So does field turf get hotter than just regular bermuda?
  20. I have heard about this game, some kind of questionable call at the end of the game and Beechwood won or something like that.
  21. There are bowl games this weekend though, the one we are having in Mayfield is starting at 6 so I am not sure it will be cool enough at that point to play or not. I think it will get delayed some myself.
  22. Its just a really, really tough blow for something like this to happen to a senior. Lets just hope for a speedy recovery and hope that he doesn't get to miss too many games, at least the bye week will be one of em, :thumb:
  23. Man, I had totally forgotten about this dinner, wish I could have made it, just too much going on. I will be lucky to make it to this Friday's game, lol. Was anything said about this years football team?
  24. Does anybody have any updates on the status of this young man? From the looks in the scrimmage, he looked to have a nasty broken arm.
  25. I heard that they cancelled even the Friday night game. If they didn't, how did that scrimmage go?
