Graves County 18 Paducah Tilghman 15

The Eagles hold off the Blue Tornado and pick up their second quality win in as many attempts.

Tornado stopped at the Graves 5 yard line with 1 minute left! Nice win for the Eagles...

I went to this game and it was a tale of two halfs. First half was all Graves who scored on their first possession with authority then went for 2 and the PAT failed. Graves later in the first again scored making it look easy and I begain to wonder if the rout was on. PT immediately answered on a long pass play and then had their PAT blocked. Graves then scored again and again failed on their PAT making the score 18-6 which stood at the half. In the first half Graves was blowing PT off the ball on both sides of scrimmage and I'm guessing more than doubled the Tornado in yards. A very dominate first half by the Eagles. The third quarter was a stalemate but PT made some adjustments and appeared to have also had a change of heart as they outplayed Graves but never scored. In the 4th PT really kicked it up a notch and scored and had another score negated by a block in the back. Graves looked tired late and the mojo was with PT. Graves finally responded and but together a drive that took then deep into PT territory. Inside the 10 Graves QB was picked off and PT returned the ball to near midfield where with around 3 minutes togo in the game PT made their final drive of the game that ended with around a minute to go as Graves held PT on downs at about the 2 or 3 yard line to get the big win. Sorry failed to get the stats

Best game of the night out west.

I went to the game too and a friend of mine was saying that Ft. Campbell scored most of their points against Graves in the second half, looks like Tilghman did better in the second half as well. Is Graves just not conditioned to last 4 quarters?

Last week, Graves pretty much dominated every category..Ft Campbell scored 3 TDs in the last 7-8 minutes of the game, one on a big turnover and another setup by a long punt return.. The Eagles lost there best defensive lineman to injury before the season started and they're still looking for someone to step in and fill that need..There offense is very good with several solid RBs, big WRs, a QB who can pass pretty well and a big, strong OL.. If there defense can shore up a few things and stop giving up the big play, they are going to be awefully hard to beat..With 70-75 kids, I'm sure they'll do that...

Man, parking was rough, but I hear that is being worked on. I was amazed at the long line getting your ticket, you would think they would have a few more folks selling tickets than one table.

Yep, same thing last week..I bet I stood in line for 20 minutes...It's a new stadium, though..I'm sure they'll work out the kinks in due time.. I have to admit, it's a very nice complex though.. They really put some time and money into it.. If Graves Co would put as much emphasis and support into the football as they do basketball, they could really become a force here in the west...

The concession stand, parking, tickets and jumbotron should all be up and running smoothly by season end! The only thing is how "WEAK" the horn is on the play clock...it's like beeep!
