Purple Flash quarterback Corey Robinson was 32-41 and threw for 415 yards. He also had 15 rushes for 86 yards to accumulate a massive unofficial total of 501 yards.

Does Loan Oak use the Tony Franklin System?

Jack Haskins uses a similar system. He was using the run-and-shoot with Pookie Jones at Calloway County in the late 1980s, and they went exclusively to the spread last year because Robinson is so good and they couldn't run the ball effectively.

Thanks.. that explains a whole lot.

Is Caldwell down this year westsider? I know they haven't been "up" for a long time..but usually they are a pretty solid, this score sort of surprised me, but I do have ignorance towards alot of teams on that side of the state.

This is LO's best team in my memory and I am guessing ever. The Flash will suprise some folks this year as they fly along under the radar

Is Robinson a college-type QB or just really good in this system against a team like Caldwell?

Thanks.. that explains a whole lot.

Caldwell is down this year, apparently more than anyone expected. They weren't bad last year and may have been the best 2A team in the west, but their best player tore his ACL early in their playoff loss to Trigg County.

Robinson will play on the Division I-AA level, at the very least.

Caldwell lost alot off there 9-1 team from last year but were playing well in the scrimmages they had before the season...I really expected Caldwell to be competitive in this game with Lone Oak pulling it out in the end...Like Toothpick said, Lone Oak will surprise alot of teams this year, I believe they may be a contender to at least make state, but, I doubt seriously they could compete with Lex Catholic or Bell Co on that end of the state, if they got there..

yeah I think the stats would look quite different if they were in another district, like the district with Bell and Rockastle and Knox Central. It looks like Lone Oak would like to play at least some competitive games.

It's Lone Oak's best team in at least 20 years, if not ever.

The unfortunate part is that Lone Oak didn't beef up their schedule at all. They could easily go 10-0 and not get challenged very often. I wish they had resumed the series with Paducah Tilghman ... it would be a winnable game for them.

Then looks like they could schedule some teams to prove it.
