firstregionking
The score isn't indicative of how close the game really was. It was only a one point lead with approximately five minutes left in the game.
GoBigRed
WOW, its still a lot closer than I expected, sounds like the Lakers gave em a good game.
just 4 fun
Calloways not great, but, pretty decent..They'll most likely be the 2 or 3 seed, behind Lone Oak in Rgn 1, 4a... Them and Hopkins Central would be considered a tossup right now...
diamondog
Very close game. Could have gone either way. Lakers had the ball and momentum with 4:00 left trailing 35-34 and drive stalled. Lakers had 65 TD pass incorrectly called back on 2nd play of game (video proof on coaches show). RB soph beast Tyrrell Willis came to play for Lakers - 170+ yards, 2 rush TDs, 1 rec TD. CCHS still playing without services of another outstanding sr. RB Trey Travis, who will be back from ankle sprain in another week or two. Congrats on solid game by good Trigg County club too. Calloway-Lone Oak should be fun game.
The Scribe
I was impressed with Willis. 174 yards on 17 carries. He must play like a sophomore, however, to only have 14 yards against Murray. He's one to keep an eye on. Brockman also made good decisions in the first half, but Trigg's secondary took some things away, and Trigg began to get pressure on him. It seemed like Willis and Brockman were the only two players not to be gassed in the fourth quarter. Trigg's duo of Mayes (179 yards) and Bridges (160) had another good game for them. Trigg was able to capitalize on what Calloway gave them, unlike Murray last week.
