firstregionking
At the Jackson Purchase Alliance Bowl in Mayfield: Marshall County struck first in the 2nd quarter but McCallie tied it going into halftime. Then the Blue Tornado went on a tear in the second half extending their 31 consecutive points until the Marshals scored a meaningless touchdown late in the game. just 4 fun
Not too surprising...McCallie plays in the same Div II private league that MBA, Brentwood Academy, Univ School of Memphis, etc. plays in...I know they played Brentwood tough last year, losing a heart breaker 37-34 in the playoffs and also beat MBA pretty handily, so, they've gotta be tough playing those caliber teams... GoBigRed
Their QB is just a sophomore and he is something else, I forgot his name but I would expect to hear big things from him in the years to come.
cardinalsvoice
McCallie was extremely fast, and they just made Marshall miss in the 2nd half on defense. I am surprised at some of the play calling in that Marshall did not try to get Williams or Walker the ball in the flat anymore than they did. McCallie was stuffing the middle and was forcing Marshall to beat them from the outside with the running game and the Blue Tornado was too fast is which why we were sitting up watching it wondering why they did not try getting the ball into their two biggest weapons in open space...just curious. It does not get any easier for the Marshals with a game this friday with Hopkinvsille and a district opener next Friday with traditional rival Graves County
