  1. The comparison to Jim Brown may have only been caught by the old guys. After almost every single play Brown acted like he may not make it back to the huddle then he would make a nice run on the next play.
  2. # 5 J.K. Hall was fine ,never out. He plays just like Jim Brown, if you have knowledge of how he played. If you had watched JC play this year you would know that every single game Hall goes down and comes back two plays later better than ever. He wanted back in the next play but coach held him out for a few plays. Thanks for your concern however.
  3. Well in my opinion, the East was just shut out in coaching. All the talent in the world on the east side but shouldn't adjustments be made when you keep running the same play and the west keeps scoring? There were no adjustments made on the defensive side either. I'm not taking anything away from the west players but there is just as much talent on the east side. The west's coaches were totally into the game all night.you could tell they were there to win the. Does anyone know the stats for the coaching staff for the East vs West? As I said, the East just got outcoached.
  4. Thanks to Dr. Rice and Dr. Ireland, his knee has healed and he is back 100%. He has been so blessed in so many ways.
  5. Nathaniel Dials will sign with Austin Peay State University on Feb. 6 at 2:00PM in the Johnson Central High School Gymnasium. :dancingpa
  6. Nothing wrong with checking on a call . However, lets get it exactly correct. The film clearly shows the Q.B.out of the endzone(two yard line ).
  7. Lawrence County has an excellent coaching candidate who is already wearing an NAIA Championship ring. IMO, Alan Short is highly qualified for the job.
  8. Is this your understanding or KHSAA? I was wondering how the teams would prepare next week for playoffs if they don't know by tonight.
  9. I wouldn't blame you...I think they lost quite a few subscribers this week.
  10. I talked to coach Matney today and he said you (EKU05) were a super great fan of all mountain football. Thanks for keeping a check on us ! Sorry bout the crack. We played well tonight but coach says we have a long, long way to go .
  11. I believe it was actually Conners new coach who told coach Matney their enrollment was up to almost 1900 and that next season Conner would be split and another new nky school would begin . However since your getting technical we actually checked and found Conner to have the pitiful sum of slightly over 1600. Its a shame we cant pick up East Carter and Shelby Valley like Belfry did.
  12. Again, that is your opion. But us "rednecks" love it!!!!
  13. I understand that it is loud, but the boys love it. Actually, we all love it. It is part of Johnson Central, as is the band. You have your own opinion and I respect that. We have Todd, so please respect him too. He does it for the team and the fans of Johnson Central. :thumb:
  14. Please, let's not start about the PA again. Actually, several Ashland fans like our music, not one of the songs are in reference to Ashland personally. I think that the sportsmanship and hard fought game should not be overlooked by "the PA"...that one is wore out. Now as far as the subject of this post, Ashland played very hard and full of heart. May your senior year be full of special memories, you definately gave us a game to remember, EXCITING. As for the Golden Eagles...you never let us down!!! I am so proud to be a part of all of this. You have made everyone so proud, your parents, your school and your community. Now, let's "ROCK" on!!! :ylsuper:
  15. I agree, JC CANNOT have a first quarter like they did last night. I got a little nervous myself. I think that JC learned a good lesson and will take that and use it against Ashland. Coach Matney and his staff will have them ready come Friday. I just want to say that I LOVE to watch this team play. To me, they are more than a team, they are FAMILY. It is awesome to see how each boy truly respects and listens to each of the coaches and how the boys are committed to and encourage each other. Talent is individual, they are the whole package. I believe they have everything it takes to go ALL THE WAY...Leadership, Respect, Talent, Committment and Each Other. GO EAGLES!!!!:dancingpa
  16. I understand that the field last Friday was so bad that the refs had a terrible time reading the numbers on the jerseys. The weather is calling for rain Thur, Fri, and Saturday.
  17. Chase had a terrible staph infection that put him in the hospital for a few days. He is home and doing much better. He will be out for a while and is terribly missed by his "football family". Hopefully he will return in the next few weeks.
  18. Having been a part of JC for only a short time, I think that the Eagle fans should be very proud of their teams' accomplishments. The community has rallied around their players (like in other communities) and are excited and eager for each year to be better. Johnson Central is building a strong foundation and with that comes tradition. Other comments are made from other schools about their schools history and tradition...not unlike other schools with "tradition" it all started somewhere, maybe Johnson Central's time is now.
  19. All in all, I think that the JC fans are excited about the coming year...not necessarily bragging about a scrimmage or state playoffs just the fact that they have high hopes this coming season, as every team should. Good Luck to every team this season.
  20. Well said, you know that is the most mature response I have heard yet. Thank you.
