Thanks Xman85 for the compliment to the T students. One other thing, and I didn't find out until after the game, but Coach Glaser's father-in-law passed away yesterday morning. Sympathy and prayers to him from the Trinity family.

I don't think you could run on a schedule of 1PM, 4PM, & 7PM and have the games run on time. I wouldn't mind that schedule, mind you, I just don't think it would work. A high school game normally runs about 2:15, then you have to have some time for trophy presentations, and then you have a 30-45 minute countdown clock for the next game.

And at the same time throw in the same level of parental support and involvement that backs up the CSAA. Why is there not the same level for the public high schools and the middle school Optimist Clubs football programs?

This is incorrect, HC...the PA announcer welcomed Henry Clay as they came through the gate onto the field. They were supposed to run onto the field and then go to their bench, then the PA man was to introduce Trinity and they were supposed to run onto the field and then to their bench. After the PA man intro'd Henry Clay they went to the west end zone and waited...and waited...and waited...time was running out so the PA man intro'd Trinity and they ran out. As soon as Trinity came out, so did Heny Clay. That's when the "T" stomping began and the trash talking started. We're lucky we didn't have to introduce the St. Matthews Police Department onto the field as well as the two teams. Why can't people follow directions?

This is what is printed in the KHSAA 2005 Rules Clinic packet that was handed out to all coaches and officials concerning announcers.... 2005 Football Rules Points of Emphasis "Announcers should be reminded by the game administration of the following: 1. Exemplify good sportsmanship (use good taste) 2. Inform only instead of doing a "play-by-play", critiquing officials 3. Be positive towards your guests as well as your own team 4. Respect all who are involved in the game" I've gone to the rules clinics for many years now, and this year is the first time I remember announcers being specifically noted in the packet. I wonder if there were some problems last year with PA guys.
