The Bengals will recognize the state champion football teams from St. Xavier and Newport Central Catholic at their next two home games.

 

The Bombers will take the field during the Bengals game on Sunday against Cleveland. The Thoroughbreds will get a similar welcome when the Bengals play host to Buffalo Dec. 24.

I think he means the Cincy St. X Bombers, champs of D1 Ohio. NCC is from NKY, an area that is considered by some as a suburb of Cincy.

My guess is that they will. I know they have in the past. I remember the 3-peat float in the 91 parade. I like your idea for a sponsor. Maybe the group could include some guys on unicycles pedaling backward (back pedaling).

Not really. It would be kind of boring actually, considering no one at the Bengals game would really care about them. That's why they only invited the local state champs, St. X and NewCath.

Actually it would be a nice gesture from the Bengals but I'm not sure all the teams would like to make at least 3 to 5 hour round trips on Christmas Eve.

I have to agree with mak. The fans at a Bengals game (most anyway) would be from the Cincy/NKY area, and realistically there wouldn't be much interest in the other KY teams....

I was at the game last Sunday. The Bengals host St X at the end of the first quarter. It was nice to see the high school kids get some love in Paul Brown.
