  1. :thumb: :thumb:I am thinking the same thing!!!
  2. Great article on Cody and well deserved!!! How would you like to be on the other side of the ball during a kick-off and have Cody running full speed at you???oooouuuccchhh!!!
  3. I'm still younger than you!!!:dancingpa
  4. I met Merrick at the UT vs. Uk game this weekend he is a nice young man. He and his Dad were at the game with a coach from Bell County, really nice people!!!
  5. If this counts we can add Bardo... mother's maiden name may sound familiar Cecil 1979 HHS grad.
  6. The two players that I have been told to stop are Labanion and Powers, if Highlands can do this they will win. If WC is a physical team this should be a good game.
  7. Don't just focus on Bardo at the next level, you have others and I hate to mention names because someone may be left out, however two at Highlands that stand out are Grubbs and Welz, both have the size to compete at the next level. How many times have you seen a kid playing in High school and wonder why college coaches are so high on this kid??? They must know something we don't, you can't teach speed and size. Another thing that I would like to add is every player is an injury away from having the opportunity to play at the next level. If they are fortunate enough to have the opportunity hopefully they will concentrate on their education because that is more important than playing this game.
  8. I hate to qoute myself but I need to clear something up it wasn't Collinsworth's fault on the handoff, it's part of the game and sometimes things don't work out the way we want. Bardo and Collinsworth had a bad exchange together. But don't worry they have two more years to work this out!!!:dancingpa
  9. TM, thanks for the directions. I met one of the Bell County coaches last night at the UT vs UK game and he mentioned stopping your FB is a big part of stopping your offense. I'm not sure if this is true or not but I'm sure the coaching staff at Highlands will figure it out or I hope so.
  10. No I disagree there are more than just the two mentioned and if you don't know just wait and find out!!!
  11. Bad handoff but didn't drop the bataan for the 4X100, however did win state in the 4X400 and came in third in the 4X200.
  12. I feel this class has that many D1 players, as you know it's about size and speed.
  13. The three mentioned are good ones but you have more on Highlands team to mention!!!
  14. Congrats to Tony and his teammates, quite an honor just to be nominated for this award!!!
  15. After last year the Birds are not taking anything for granted!!!
  16. I'm sure HHS has learned something from the Colerain game, they run the option as well. Hopefully they will crash down on the QB and hit him everytime whether he has the ball or not. I would like to see them apply pressure on the outside more as well and not play back or their heals. I'm sure the coaches will take care of this in their scouting reports and adjust as usual!!
  17. Does anyone know how number 2 is doing for MC, it looked like he hurt his back on the pass play after Head made the tackle?
  18. 11 INT's and 3 return for TD's...72 thanks for posting the article.
  19. I remember seeing the team outside of the High School after a game that they lost and the coach was giving the players heck over their lack of effort. I continued walking so that I didn't draw attention away from what the coach was saying but I was very impressed on how he handled the loss and after his "come to Jesus" meeting ended on a positive note, which apparently was the right medicine at the right time. Good luck men and keep playing hard!!!
  20. Great job ladies keep up the good work and bring home another State Championship!!!
  21. I'm sure there will be plenty of people to hand out candy but the safety of the kids should come first. I think it's POOR planning on the city's part and I really don't understand why the times keep changing every year or every other year???
  22. OK both of the young men are exceptional atheletes and have the potential to play at the next level if they continue to work hard. VanSant has what most colleges are looking for in size, speed and good football instincts. Roller is big enough to play college ball and is not as fast as VanSant but I'll take Roller any day. He is one of the best and smartest football players I have ever been around and I really enjoy the way he plays the game. They say speed kills but I've witnessed SOME players that can just play the game and have a knack for being around the ball and involved in the play...ROLLER!!!
  23. As much as I would love for this to happen I really don't think Dale will let him play. I know he asked at the beginning of the year to play JV so that he could get in some reps at QB. Dale didn't want him to play then but you never know with Dale???
