Dale contacted the Jr. Football League to let them know that the game will be played at 11:00am this Saturday.

Boom, That is correct, JV plays St. X next saturday at home.

Maybe I misunderstood what he was getting at, mainly the last part of the last sentence. So let me say that if it was a running clock or not, playing a half of RUNNING clock football against the number ones and then turning around the next day and playing JV is not as easy as some may think!!! With that being said good luck to Cov Cath's JV!!!

The score remained that way in the second half because they didn't do much offensively except run the ball with the running backs. If Highlands wanted to run the score up more they could have but whats the point!!!

On the freshmen level I'm surprised Towles didn't get the opportunity to throw the ball. Maybe it was because of the score being out of control and they didn't want to run the score up more. Regardless I'm told it's nice to have this problem!!!:dancingpa

Birdsfan, actually the teams in the 70's were a great rivalry. '74 NC won, 75 H won, 76 NC won, 77 H won, 78 NC won and 79 H won!!! Bring it back!!!

Good work ROCKS, I for one would much rather give a player reps on the JV rather than having them stand on the sidelines during the varsity game. The only way to get better is to play!!!

If you watch the film Ryle knew where we were going to run the ball and they executed defensively, as L/N stated by sending or having 8 in the box.:fight:

It's a big deal when this happens to any player. In this case it hits home because he is not only a candidate for Mr. Ky. Football but it's his senior year and this kid wants to play at the next level. Josh will be back this year whenever the doctors release him, it's just dissapointing for him to have this happen at this time. I understand about the team concept but it is a big deal and yes Highlands will be Highlands with or without one player. This player is special and we are looking forward to his return!!!

It's about time the bluebirds came out of hiding!!! I expect this to be a close game with the birds pulling it out by a TD. The Fort Thomas kids will enjoy playing against each other again, nothing like a Highlands vs. NC game in my mind. Bring back the rivalry like the good old days of the 70's and part of the eighties. Dale and Bob need to get together and make this happen or wait until Bob retires and hopefully the other coach will want to rekindle the fire!!!
