  1. OOOOOCccccHhhhhh, I think I hit a nerve.
  2. Leatherneck, How many times do I have to tell you...the media is focusing on the skilled linemen position. Not that the other linemen aren't as important their just not as exciting to watch for the average fan. I will say I have read in the pass scouting combine reports that the linemen score higher on the Wunderlich test.
  3. If needed I know Schlosser, Combs and Grubbs can, like you said it will be an intense spring!!!
  4. I think that some of the questions for next year is who will be the defensive front, Beck, Dierig, Fennell, Johnson, Sullivan... and who will fill in at the DB positions, Buten,Gold, Siedel, Duanes(sp)...? Not to mention the two O linemen positions that need to be filled by some of the above mentioned or Hahn, Meyers or Moyer? I feel that the LB positions will be solid with Roller, Alford, Hogue, Bankemper, Compton??? There are a lot of interchangeable parts and I think Spring ball will be interesting this year!!!
  5. Congrats Austin and all the players selected. I heard Austin also had a good combine this past weekend during the US Army Junior Combine.
  6. No, it's kinda getting old to read about this again. Turn it over to Wags and move forward!!!

  8. The QB position requires more specialized time than other positions in my mind. You can have a good QB but if he doesn't continue to work on his foot work and mechanics throughout the season he will not be as effective as he could be. There is more to this position than just throwing the ball 300 times a practice. Even the great QB's go over the basic fundamentals, it starts at the feet and works its way up. One also must study the game and understand defenses.
  9. Labor has been overlooked all season which is a shame because this kid played hard all year long and had the game of his life during the State Championship!!!:fire::irked:
  10. Safe travels my friend and thanks for everything you and the rest of the troops to keep us safe!!! Hopefully someone will videotape the banquet and send a copy to you.:thumb:
  11. Happy to see that you completed the post without falling asleep!!!:walk:
  12. Don't believe everything that you read, if you think this is it your in for a surprise!!!
  13. Congrats to all the selected players and some that were not!!!
  14. It's about time the big boys get mentioned... Highlands has two seniors on the offensive line Dempsey and Bardgett, the rest are juniors Schlosser, Combs, Grubbs. The skilled linemen (the ones that can walk and chew gum at the same time) Roller and Welz. Everyone that knows football knows without a strong offensive line your team is in trouble, just ask Mike Brown. I don't care how good your skilled positions are without the line your in for a long day and long season!!!
  15. Clyde, Your soooo wrong he was still much faster than his Dad!!!
  16. Congrats to Monte for deciding to go to WKU!!! I met Monte this year at the UT vs. UK game, he noticed my son wearing a Highlands shirt and came up an introduced himself. I don't know to many High school kids that would do this... He is a nice young man and I wish him the best of luck!!!
