Highlands seems to be mixing it up more than usual, they have two turnovers to Letcher but don't seem to be bother by this. The Highlands D is playing tough.

Congrats to Clay Cecil!!! Keep up the good work and your right L/N (that hurts!!!) Clay would never acknowledge the award without mentioning his teammates. This young man always tries to do his best on the field and off.

Bluetothebone, I totally agree with what you are saying, unfortunately I haven't had enough time to look at everyone on the film... The ones mentioned just seem to stand out a bit more than some others. The only bad thing about mentioning certain players is that you always leave other names out and your right it is a team effort!!!

L/N, Couldn't agree more!!! Very impressed with him staying with the blocks time and time again!!! Not bad for a kid that was being used a tight end early in the year and then being moved to slot...but we all know that the Tight End position is the most skilled of the linemen. I would also like to mention Jurgens, Peko, Frost, Bathiany and Dowling!!!

Just a little observation of the game, I know it's late but I just had a chance to look at the tape. I'm not surprised that our leaders on the team had a great game...Cecil, Hurtt, Ball, Stine, Simons, Fitz and Connor. But there are a few players that deserve some recongnition for their outstanding play: Oliver Head made several tackles on special teams, Michael labor (D-LINE) had another great game with a couple of sacks and constant pressure on the QB. Brandon Roller played one of the best games I've seen him play. He created two forced fumbles, one tackle for lost yardage, assist with Hurtt for a safety and then moved to fullback to stuff a blocker that allowed Conner to score. Most players can play a good game against a lesser opponent but it takes a special player to step-up and play against a good team!!! Keep up the good work!!!

JV, You've got to be kidding me. The Highlands players have every right to be excited after the game. If this seemed obnoxious due to their excitement maybe the coach should wait until they get back to Cov Cath for the after the game prayer. I have witness the same thing from Cov Cath over the years and never whined about it on here because I knew the fans were excited about winning the game. This kind of stuff happens on both sides of the field, it doesn't make it right but it's part of the game like it or not!!! By the way id the coach was clearly trying to run up the score he would have passed the ball more...Have'nt you been reading the posts on here, we can throw better than we can run, we run the ball to keep it close!!!

This team will not overlook Cov Cath... They remember last year and would like to take two from Cov Cath this year. This senior group of young men are hungry for another victory and this game is a stepping stone to #17. Highlands wins big tonight!!!

L/N, believe it or not I agree with what you are saying. With Cecil, Hurtt and Conner running the ball the way we have been able to, keep running until they stop you. The O-line has been doing a great job adjusting to the D overloading the box. If this becomes a problem then we need to adjust and open the O up a little bit. Thats all that I am saying, take what they give you and if you have to throw the ball use more of a high percentage type passing attack to accomplish this. I don't really understand your remark about being able to tell what kid has a QB or RB versus a family member that has a lineman. I just giving my opinion from one former lineman to another. Who has family members that QB or run the ball... I'm confused???

sweeperboy, I can only dream!!! L/N, my friend, I agree with running the ball because we do have a very good running game but I also think that you need to take what the defense will give you. If the defense has 8 in the box, one safety and db's off the line, and we have an over balanced line on offense, throw the quick pass, look at the tight end in the middle...mix it up. This style of play will only open up the running game that much more!!!

Luck, I understand the name now after making a prediction like that!!! Highlands has a better passing game than Dixie. They really don't need to use it with their running game doing as well as it has. I hope Cov Cath over loads the box again and makes Highlands mix it up more than they did the last game. I think Highlands needs a game like this against Cov Cath and we are looking forward to it!!!

Sweeperboy, You will not get an argument with me about passing the ball and having a balanced attack. I like to mix it up!!!

I don't have the passing stats but I do know that the best QB was in the game and he proved it in the end. I do agree with working on a passing game more thoughout the year but HHS running game has been so strong this year apparently the coach has been happy with his game plan to date.

1:35 to go and beechwoods QB is pick off by Pabst...I think that will do it. Good game Breds keep up the good work and go for a three peat!!!

I just got home with 5 mins. to go in the game. My reporter hung up on me two times, if he keeps this up I'm not going to bother him during games anymore... From here on out I'll be at the games.
