Highlands scores 21 unanswered points in under 7 minutes to earn the comeback victory!

Birds score 21 unanswered with under 7:00 left for the comeback victory.

The state's top 2 teams have very subpar performances tonight, in the last tune-up before the playoffs.

Nice win Birds, way to fight back!

Now, it begins.

Birds score 21 unanswered with under 7:00 left for the comeback victory.

Great comeback. Where were they for the rest of the game. This stuff is getting really interesting.

Okay, you and I are in mental synch. That's just scary!

Finally someone put Roadrunner in his place. Way to pull rank BF.

Almost identical, that is creepy.

DODODODODODODODO!!!

Great Job Birds !! Keep it going

What a difference an hour (and second halves) makes.

They stare at the clock down 13 points in the 4th quarter their perfect season in the balance and gut check time and score 21 unanswered points against a good team (probable 3A championship game team in Highlands class if Highlands played in the class based on the size of its school). Turn downer going into playoffs into one more strength--i.e., knowledge that they can come from behind against a good team even when down more than one touchdown in the second half. They also continue their trend of being a dominating second half team this year (because of depth and conditioning--love two deep defensive line) where they wear teams down down the stretch of games. All while Cov. Cath game turns the other direction--no disrespect there playing best team in state (and much larger school) on the road. Another great night to be a Birds fan.

Congratulations, Birds! Great win. :dancingpa

Impressive comeback although I am surprised it got to that point.

I hate that it was that close, but I love the never say die attitude.

The birds have had to play several straight games on the road against good teams. They finally will get to come home and play until they get to the Pizza Box or they lose.

I don't think this team has any plans on losing!

RaiderBird, apology accepted.

Anybody have the stats on the passing game tonight for the Birds. Would love to see those numbers. I did hear that one long pass set them up for one of the scores. What else.
