Yes Jason and Phil are in. Phil won a championship coaching too. Jason is coaching with the 49ers now.

As far as I know it's not based on what players did at LC. The criteria the way I understand is that you had to play in college, get some clock and graduate still on the team. Pretty sure it's: Kyle Barnette, Stu + JR Cook, James Storts, Gerad Parker, Dontae Wright, Alan Short, Brad Derifield and Mike McCreary. Not sure other than that.

Should be a great game. Both teams 3-0 right now. LC ranked 8 in the state in rushing while SV is ranked 10th and 3rd against the run. Valley has 2 backs averaging over 165yds rushing a game while LC is led by a stable of backs and a great Oline. Both teams have been playing well on both sides of the ball. I posted here to let anybody that has been involved with Chuke Williams to know that we are honoring him and the guys that have been elected to the LC Hall of Fame. Chuke's cancer has spread bad and we are hoping he will be able to make it out. We will be having a gathering at the school library for any past players, people that coached with him or friends at 5:30. He's been a big part of the LC tradition so I expect one of our best crowds we have seen in the past decade. I also ask that you keep him and his family in your prayers. Going to be a great night for football!

when Lawrence Co broke Breathitts 42 game win streak in the regional finals some drunks broke 1 down. Pretty funny one of the idiots got stuck standing on it while it was breaking down!

Running clock and JV/Frosh the whole 2nd half every kid played. Larry West saw his first action of the year. 6 touches for 234 all purpose yds I think it was. He ran the opening kick back and 2 punts returned for TD's. Going to be a fun District with 3 of the faster tailbacks in the state in 4A with West/Carter/Cross! Whole team played well tonight. Honoring the 99 team next week at home vs Shelby Valley. Spread the word for all Dogs fans. They are also honoring Chuke Williams who is fighting a very very tough battle with cancer. I ask that you please pray for Chuke and his family.

Shane Pack FB from Lawrence Co isn't going to get the pub he deserves but he is one of the top backs in the state. He rushed for 120 yds in the 2nd half alone against that same defense that held Fuggate to 5 yds (I am a Fuggate fan and have built him up as much as I can the last couple of years). Shane is about 6'1 230 and now has 6 TD's in 2 games this year. He is also ranked as the 22nd top punter in the Nation I think. I know he did very well at the Ray Guy camp this summer.

Congrats to HC. Coached a lot of those kids in 7th/8th grade including Jerry who seems to be coming into his own!

Thanks guys! Huge win for the program. This is a special group of Sr's that have learned to battle adversity....lean on God + each other! This was an extremely physical game! Sheldon Clark is one of the best teams in the state in 3A. REALLY physical! Coach Hager has done an outstanding job there. Our kids really played physical too! Shane Pack might not be in the Mr Football talk but he is one of the best players in the state. He had 120yds in the 2nd half on the ground and it's his second 3 TD game in a row. I'd say he's around 6'1 230. He also has D1 potential punting the ball.

IMO most important game LC has had in 10 or so years! Might be wrong but I look for a VERY physical defensive game! All about who controls the line IMO!

How exactly do they determine how many boys are in a school? Who turns in the numbers to whom? I know we are smaller than a couple of schools that have more boys than us but we have a really lazy administration! Our Super hasn't even been to school yet and it's a month in! Finally got a new Principal thank God! It's a shame!

We've got a big game with #22 Sheldon Clark this week. I've been around a lot of special teams and I might be wrong but I feel like this group of Sr's is going to pull the biggest turn around maybe in state history. We are missing maybe the 2 most athletic kids in Eastern KY in Chandler Sheppard and Larry West. Larry will play next week...Shep is out for the year. Biggest game I feel like we've had in Louisa in about 10 years. Sheldon Clark holds Fuggate to 5 yds and has a heck of a ball club ranked #2. I give them a ton of respect but I also feel like in my gut this group of Sr's are going to have a magical season!

Inez (Martin Co) between Louisa (Lawrence Co) and Paintsville (Johnson Co). I said I thought SC could win. Suprised by the shutout. Might take some pressure off Breathitt. Congrats to Coach Hager and the Cards. He's done a great job there.

Depends on the coach and the teams personality. Sometimes I've been around coaches that where bad at it and it showed. Sometimes I have been around them that just flat have their guys ready to play. The coach I played for was as good as anybody I've been around although I've heard guys like Yeagle talk and would imagine he could have you ready to go. I didn't play a game my Sr year that I didn't go onto the field crying. Our coach had us ready to kill. We joked after we got out of high school that we probably would have had he asked us too. He was unreal!

Watusi's directions are the best way to go. Great directions! Sheldon Clark look like they are going to be good. Their school is nowhere close to as many boys as Johnson Central but they are really big and physical. I expect a better game than expected and wouldn't be shocked if SC ended up winning. Should be a really good matchup. I'm not sure either team can stop the other.

Wow I about died when I saw this thread. I taught him in school all the way back around 5th-6th grade at North Oldham. Glad he is doing well!
