Louisville is the most central location, I know geographically Elizabethtown is, however, as you go further west the state gets more narrow, therefore, limiting the population versus the east and central part of the state where it is much larger, we cannot simply say put the State Championship Game in the most centralized point of Kentucky because in reality while E-Town may be central, the population just isn't close to what it is in Central, Northern and Eastern Kentucky, I mean look at a map and once he hit Henderson County, the state gets really small out West, it isn't a knock to those out there, it is just why cater to a few when so many more live in other parts. No one is forgettng about WKY but lets also be honest, how much money and time do residents out in far WKY spend in Kentucky rather than Missouri, Indiana or Tennessee. I'm not basing it on that, just making a statement. We include WKY but I don't see how everything should be centralized based on our state extending so far out with so few people in it compared to the rest of the state.

BF, I know you are a NKY fan and may not know that much about this mountain district but it has historically been pretty bad, it is almost like you are enjoying putting salt on a great season for every team in this district. It has basically been a consensus all year long that this district is one of the most balanced and toughest in the state, especially considering there are 6 teams in it, when all 6 would've been a very dangerous playoff team.

BF, what are the numbers suggesting otherwise? That the teams I listed are not quality teams. I never once said anything about beating all these teams, only that all the district teams scheduled fairly tough opponents and they won some and like all teams lost some. I still do not see the argument, just because Breathitt County is 5-5, are you suggesting they are not quality, because Hazard is 6-4 are they not quality, because Rockcastle County is 4-6are they not quality because Southwestern is 7-3 are they not quality, or what about Pulaski County they are 8-3, oh I forgot they are not a quality team either. Plus you left off 2 other district teams that played a tough schedule. No, but when you play them in combination with each other it isn't a cake walk either, therefore, giving thse teams in 5AD8 some losses. Bottom line is that those are some solid teams listed and if you cannot agree with that and the fact that the district had a great overall record and they didn't win based on cupcakes then we can't have a normal conversation because it wouldn't make sense to me.

Terrible teams? That shows a lack of credibilty on your behalf. Those are above and beyond good teams for non-district play. The statement was made earlier that 5AD8 played a cupcake non district schedule, I pointed out the teams, no one said this district beat them all, heck that would be near impossible. You have to consider where these teams were the last few years and even last year and then credit them with playing tough through their brutal schedules. NL matched their win total this year from the previous 4 years, Whitley County I believe is 2 years removed of having back to back 2 win seasons. A new school in Harlan County and Letcher is only a few years old, with Clay County and Perry County Central not having very much football tradition, it is a true testament to how difficult this district was this season and no doubt from top to bottom the most leveled in terms of quality across the Commonwealth.

I was astounded at how HC shut down or held SWP (the 3rd most rushing yards) to under 50 yards rushing. Great game Bears!

Besides Danville and some of Bardstowns opponents, that district didn't really play anyone, I mean Ft. Knox was on a 20 some game losing streak and Washington County has been down for years. Danville should be playing teams that are quality, they are the cream of the crop in their class, i don't think too many people would be arguing against Danville's schedule, although the AD's are way down this year regardless.

I was at 2 vs 3 game where the 3 won in an awesome game but there wasn't 1,000 fans at the game combined to see a great game. Poor attendance all around last night IMO.

Biggest test of the year for the Bulldogs next week, the tough district games from the other district are about to begin. Flipping the record from last year is amazing though.

Bourbon County has a solid TB, get the stopwatch out and control the clock and hike it on .25 and get 3 yards every time and keep Boyle County off the field. Congratulations to Bourbon County for making a huge turnaround this season from last year.
