  1. Montgomery is the team to beat, no doubt about it!!!!!!!!!
  2. Did A1 establish and gain position before he touched the ball?
  3. No matter the outcome of the game, nice to play the district finals on the court where the regional is held!
  4. After another regional birth maybe ole AHS will retire those pin-striped uni's! Congrats on another regional birth for the Panthers and another district title for Mason County.
  5. One thing for sure: It should be a very interesting 10th Regional tourney!
  6. Congrats to Coach Johnson and the Devils. Good luck Friday night and in the regional. W/Augusta and Deming in the regional, this has the makings of a great and interesting regional tourney!
  7. People who look down on Augusta shouldn't, bottom-line-end-of-story!
  8. Congrats to Coach Kelsch and the Panthers, a big win for the small river school. The town exudes team pride and this was a big win for Coach Kelsch!!! I didn't realize Sports Mojo was from Augusta, wow? Interesting?
  9. Once you play varsity sports, things become very cloudy on what you can do and what you cannot do as far as moving. Regardless, of what grade you are in, MS or HS , playing varsity sports outs kids in a gray area.
  10. Good points URIT. Much easier to coach from the stands then to spend every day w/the team and the players and see them in practice and their attitudes then a seeing them a few games here and there, everyone knows that.
  11. Mason County beats up on the Lady Bears, by 22+!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With 7 straight wins the Lady Royals are playing some of their best basketball at the right time of the season. They should enter the regional w/a 9 game winning streak.
  12. These all look really good to me, this would be my choices as well.
  13. Coach Doyle has done a very fine job at Deming, but he wouldn't be one of the top-5 coaches in the girls 10th region!
  14. Consolidation would be better for the reason(s) listed. However, it will never happen!
  15. I'd say the Lady Bears will get the win tonight by 20+!!!!!!
  16. The Augusta/Bracken County rivalry in the early 90's ('90, '91, '92) was a pretty good rivalry. It didn't get much better than Rachael Hamilton and Molly Linville in the region! The Lady Bears usually got the W, but the games were exciting and energized to say the least, spirited.
  17. Hannah Jefferson would have to replace Sheila Hamilton in my opinion. The Augusta list is very solid and I'd put Dana Bach on that list and remove Carrie (Appelman) Jefferson w/Kim Habermehl as my 6th man/lady!
  18. Is the second Geiman you are thinking about Casey who played for Coach Kues a few years ago? I am pretty sure she went to Campbellsville to play college ball. Very good lists for those schools.
  19. John High as of this moment is the best coach in the region. The 10th region has seen a few very good coaches retire/resign or leave for other schools in the last 3 to 4 years.
  20. Murphy and Case would be great choices! Buddah Hedges is a good choice as well!
  21. Keeping the fan base happy is always fun and rarely ever accomplished, no matter what!
  22. 37th--Campbell County and Bishop Brossart 38th--Harrison County and Pendleton County 39th--Mason County and St. Patrick 40th--Montgomery County and Paris
  23. Congrats to Coach Hicks and Scott County!
  24. One win can be HUGE for a small school like Augusta, I wish them the very best!
  25. The BBA (Bluegrass Basketball Association) is one of the best if not the best officiating associations in the state, in my opinion. This association has the cream of the crop, the best of the best, the guys at the top of this group are very, very good. It seems like w/the new guys in this association there is a bit of a drop-off, a significant one. Officials seem to not have as much experience reffing as they used to, not as much teaching to the new officials, etc. are a few reasons for the decline in basketball officiating across the entire state. Officiating is not an easy job at all and each night you face criticism. No matter what, one side is always going to be upset w/you, no matter how good you are. Good officials are passionate at being an official, the ones who do it for the money are the ones that hurt officials.
