There is a letter in the Shelby County paper today from someone calling for immediate attention to the coaches in Shelby Co. . I haven't read it myself but a friend from there tells me it is pretty lengthy. Is there a problem brewing in that county?

No it's not online I looked also. I had the entire article read to me over the phone and it seems some think "homegrown" is not getting the job done and the players aren't happy.

Aren't they 18-6 and one of the favorites to win the region? Didn't they graduate a Division I player to Western last season after making it to Rupp? Are these people crazy?!

I hope the online site puts the article on there so some of us have a chance to read it. I would have to agree with the last post. If someone wrote a letter criticizing things in Shelby then that person must be disconnected from reality. I am pretty sure I watched Shelby play in the Sweet Sixteen last year and, after watching them play Simon Kenton, think they are still one of the top teams in the 8th region. I really feel for people that focus so much time on being negative that they are not intelligent enough to see what is really going on. For those of you that have read this article, would you say it is a disgruntled parent or just some idiot "coach in the stands" fan? Or perhaps both!!

Is this in response to the dismissal of a player a few weeks ago?

Unless I missed something, The only things I saw using the online link provided by HOMELESS CAMEL are some complaints that really didn't have anything to do with sports.

The comments were in a letter written to the paper on the opinion page. It's just one persons view and I personally don't think it will affect anything there.

I sure hope nothing happens to the coach down there. Its always nice to know i can make a 1 hour drive and be so easily amused by the man going crazy on the sidelines.

Maybe not. In my limited exposure to Shelby County, they look like an underachiever. They don't seem to get the most out of their talent and athleticism.

Historically, they do underachieve.
