Hilltopper2005 Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Deming led 43-18 before Nicholas cut it to 6 with 3+ minutes to go. Nicholas was something like 6-17 at the free throw line and had 4 chances to cut the lead to 3 or 4 and failed 4 consecutive times down the floor. Deming is in position to be the 38th District Bridesmaid again.

By the way were was Harrison when Deming was playing in the Region? Oh, that's right they were at home. They weren't even bridesmaids. By the way I don't want to hear that the Championship game was played Monday. It shows on the KHSAA website it is 7:30 Friday. Now that I have got that over with. I want to congratulate the Deming Devils on the victory and a spot in the 10th Region Tournament. I also want to congratulate Coach Johnson and Coach Brown for a job well done. Deming is going to the Region for the 3rd time in 4 years. Nice feat for one of th smallest schools in the state.:dancingpa
Flip Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Great win for the devils. Congrats to the team and staff for a nice year. There is no way in heck you can convince me that they don't have a shot at winning the district. GO DEVILS!!!

U Reach I Teach Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Congrats to Coach Jamey Johnson and his team... He deserves this trip to the region as does his team! How great would an Augusta/Deming 1st round matchup be?
polarbear1994 Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Wow that would be amazing! Im sticking to my guns and predicting, as I have for 2 weeks that Deming will win the district. It will be tough against Coach kendall and the Breds at home, though.
Quagmire Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Sounds like it could very well be a great game to attend.
AHSPanther23 Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Congrats to Deming. It is a well deserved win.
Bird Man Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Congrats to Deming for making the 10th region tourney for the 2nd consecutive year. Like Augusta, it means a lot to these small town schools. Good luck against Harrison.

Polar Bear Facts Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Congratulations Coach Johnson. First year coach and returning to the region!! Friday night should be a good game and I would love to see the devils as district champs.
rupp Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 With both Pendleton County's boys and girls eliminated do you think Gary Dearborn will persuade the KHSAA to realign the districts again?
Devilman Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Great win for the devils. Congrats to the team and staff for a nice year.
