The problem is in today's world everyone is a coach and everyone thinks it is easy to be a coach. So few, so few, even know the real truth of what goes into coaching, if you do it the right way. So few trust the coaching staff at so many schools its no wander there are so many good coaches that have gotten out of coaching. In turn, the true fans of HS basketball are the ones that suffer!!!

I'd like to see the Lady Bears turn things around here late in the season. Coach Kelsch will have a HC position someday, he is truly ready for that next step. Time will tell what happens w/his future, but it will be a bright one.

There have been some remodifications to the gymnasium and the front part of the school/gymnasium entrance.

I once heard a coach of mine tell a teammate that he was so lazy he couldn't even pick crap w/the chickens!! Another time the same coach told a teammate that over the course of several had been missing a lot of lay-ups and easy baskets that the "Way he was blowing those lay-ups he shouild go join the band and blow on a tuba." I also overheard a very good coach one time say he wanted his girls team to "play defense like wild camanches!" It was in the middle of a heated game during a timeout, it was perfect!

Bobby Keith of Clay County was the most fun I ever had watching a coach!

Does anyone know who were the officials for this game? Has the BBA slipped that much lately? I have read a great deal of posts that are complaining about 10th and 11th region officials.

Preston Knowles was very impressive to say the least. PC seemed a little out of sync after the 1st quarter.

PCHS is very tough to beat at home and that winning streak is like a monster of its own now, not wanting to go away. It will be hard for the Wildcats to get the win, but I wouldn't be surprised if they notch a victory!

Yes, it can be managed and in this case it seems it should have been. There are things you can do as a coach to keep this from happening.

They are promoting youth sports. AAU is a choice, so the money spent doesn't have to be spent. I guess it depends on the individual in what they want to spend and how much time they want to put towards something like AAU. AAU is good in that it does give kids more opportunities to play and gain exposure. They are drawbacks to the AAU format, especially w/the big traveling teams and their circuit.

Great facility, nice school, good PA guy, but not such a great sound system and the concessions stand was un-organized and chaotic. At least the few games I have seen at the "Igloo" it was hard for me to understand anything that came out of the sound system. The BBA does control who officiates the finals of the 10th Region Class "A" by assigning the officials for that game. The only control the coaches/schools have is w/their scratch sheets where each coach can scratch a certain # of officials, used to be 5 per school. This means that a scratched official cannot officiate a game that he has been scratched by a particular school. It may be a Class "A" thing statewide not to have used 3 officials b/c of the state tourney format, but the game last night deserved 3 w/what was there.

I think the Lady Panthers get the win here. Coach Orem does a very nice job w/her program!

Another big win for Coach Simms and the Cats! Many believed the home winning streak might come to an end against HH, nice win for PCHS!!!

The officiating was something to be desired to say the least. There was never any consistency the entire game. I would hope the BBA (10th and 11th region officials association) could send three officials to the FINALS for the 10th Region Class "A", apparently not. IMHO there are better officials that could have worked that game. Also, was it just where the group of people I was sitting w/ was or was the sound system a bit tough to understand, not very clear?:irked:

I totally think schools should do more to promote their athletics such as using special nights :dancingpa for admittance. It wouldn't hurt a thing and can only help promote the program.
