Pendleton's home winning streak ends

Featured Replies

what do u think about pendleton counties home winning streak ending ?

I'm glad it did because I'm from Clark Co. :fight:

How many does Pendleton's gym hold? Is it very old?

Probably will seat about 1000-1500 and I remember I took a team down there in the late 60's and the gym was there then. The Winchester Sun described it as a new gym but its somewhere around 35-40 years old.

Believe it was built with the school and it opened in either '61 or '62.

There have been some remodifications to the gymnasium and the front part of the school/gymnasium entrance.

Nicer than a lot of gyms I've been to lately. You definitely couldn't tell the age the gym is nice.

Streaks are made to be broken !! A very good run though .

The streak started on Decemeber 12, 2003 as PC defeated Newport 71-48. It ended at 28 games on January 30, 2007 as Clark County beat the Wildcats 80-61.

Are there other schools that have a record like this?

Were there players who never lost at PC? Elliot maybe?

Pat Elliott never lost a home game at PC. In his two years, they were 18-0 at home.

With some luck, maybe PC can start another one.

Mason County had a nice run, went 44-1 from January of 2002 to December 2004 (vs. Wings Academy). Won 16 straight, lost to Catholic by a point, then won 28 more until the Wings Academy game.

Lots of those games were regional tournament games, which is why Mason County had 45 home games in two-and-a-half seasons.
