Wagner is Nicholas County ace a smooth lefty who is hitting 83-85 consistantly at Whitaker Bank Park tonight against Montgomery County. He hit 88 once. Daugherty is the Pendleton County ace who has a very nice curve and good control.

Wagner is throwing 83-85 consistantly at Applebee's tonight and has hit 88. Pendleton couldn't score on Harrison's 3rd-5th pitchers so I doubt they will score much on Wagner. Daugherty is good too, but Pendleton will need to score some runs, they couldn't get the runs in the District last year and they lost most of their sticks too. I wouldn't bet the house on it, but a steak dinner from Malone's says that a healthy Wagner will send Nicholas to the Regionals.

The little brother was tough as a 7th grader and got some quality playing time and made some outstanding plays. I don't understand how they could start a better line-up and him not be in it. I agree that the older Daugherty can pitch.

I know that the ace Daugherty started for Pendleton County, but who pitched for Harrison County. Also, is Daugherty's younger brother not playing this year. 2 years ago he was tough at SS and then chose not to play last year. I heard that he was playing this year but did not play in the game today. Anyone have any information on him?

Well they are both from Campbell County school system so they obviously are buddies or he wouldn't have been chosen as the coach.

Harrison has been the victim in years past, so you get what you ask for the beginning when the 38th District was newly formed. Pendleton lost, their season is over so get over it and stop trashing Nicholas and Robertson.

More than what the PCHS Gym can hold unless you don't allow the Pep Bands in.

Here we go again! You can't compare a private school situation to a public school situation. Wnat to talk about a good coach, a mentor and an overall great guy, Mac Whitaker - Harrison County. 4 State Titles.

Not that it matters to many, but Harrison County Football has reached an all time low. Very few players on the team and an 0-6 start. On top of that several Seniors QUIT! They quit on themselves, their teammates, their coaches and the school. Why quit when you made the commitment to be there? Quit now and you will always quit when times get rough in other things too. Makes no sense to me at all how parents would encourage quitting and allow quitting. This program is at an all time low and it is not the new Coaches fault. It will take time and some on the field leadership from players who are upperclassmen and not quitters. I don't think Harrison County gave Coach Graham the credit he deserved for keeping the program competitive for years. But the last 2 hires by the administration prior to Coach Carr have been disastrous. Good luck to the young Thorobreds and hang in there because there will be rewarding times to come. To the Senior "Quitters" may you some day grow up!

Why on earth would parents allow their kids to quit the team I have no idea. Boo to the seniors that quit and best of luck to the young Thorobreds who stick with the dismal program.
