  1. Do you know if Cummins pitched against Nicholas County?
  2. Tyler Daugherty started and pitched into the 6th or 7th giving up 4 runs.
  3. Polar Bears down the "Flat" Cats today in Falmouth. Pendleton drops to 4-4 on the season while Bracken County improves to 6-2. Pendleton County has some talent, but not enough to just show up and win, they have to be ready to play every game. Pendleton County hosts Grant County on Thursday.
  4. Final from Williamstown. Brent Jacob goes the distance to pick up his 3rd win. Pendleton County improves to 4-3 on the season.
  5. Not sure if he is the ace or not, but Harrison swung and made contact with the 1st pitch 13 times and only 3 were hits. Unusual thing happened in the game. Jordan Martin led off the bottom of the 6th for Harrison County with a HR. Then Jordan Martin led off the top of the 7th for Grant County with a HR. The Grant County kid is the younger brother of Brandon Martin who pitched for Harrison County a few years ago. The Harrison County kid is the younger brother of Jarod Martin who played for the Thorobreds last year. Harrison is really struggling defensively.
  6. Final from the Hilltop. Tucker goes the distance for Grant County throwing only 62 pitches.
  7. Daugherty goes the distance for the Wildcats in the 5-2 win on the road. Pendleton County improves to 3-2 on the season.
  8. Brent Jacob gets his 2nd win as the Wildcats improve to 2-2.
  9. Final from Falmouth. Both teams pitched younger pitchers in this one. Harrison County 7-7-1 Pendleton Co. 1-6-7 7 errors by the Wildcats really hurt as a couple were dropped pop ups. Brent Jacob made some outstanding plays in CF and the Wildcats are showing signs of improvement.
  10. Nice bounceback win for the Wildcats after the season opening loss to Brossart. Sounds like Jacob did a good job on the mound.
  11. Brossart scored 11 in the 1st inning and coasted to the victory. Junior RH Daugherty went the 1st 2 innings for Pendleton and Freshman LH Brown finished the game.
  12. Mustangs jump out big in the 1st inning and roll to another 5 inning shut-out victory.
  13. Brossart now up 9-0 after 3. Pendleton seems to have settled down after getting shell shocked in the 1st inning. Pendleton is playing minus 3 starters and will continue to improve as the season progresses.
  14. Brossart continues dominating start as they jump on the Wildcats 8-0 in the 1st inning.
  15. A lot of people are confused with this one. LOL Don't get me wrong I like the field behind the high school and if it is dry they should play there, however if it is wet behind the school and Southern is dry, why not let them play at Southern?
  16. Change for the sake of change is not always good. The field behind the school will not draw the crowd and will cost more for baseballs as many will be lost in the woods surrounding the field. Not to mention that with the mild winter, the place will be infested with mosquitos and other bugs. The parents should start a petition to move back to Southern for this year only, go to the next schoolboard meeting or something. If it had been more notice, maybe a new drainage system could have been installed. I always liked the setting behind the school. Know going into this season that next year you will be playing behind the school and LET THE GAMES BEGIN!
  17. "Part of the new Superintendent's plan to have all athletic events on campus." Just curious if the Football Team or the Girls Softball Team plays on Campus? How bout the Tennis Teams? I agree with memyselfandi, "It is a shame these kids will lose games because the field is not in proper condition." They used to have a good groundskeeper too, does he work on the field any or is it left up to the Baseball Boosters, Coaches and Players. I doubt the Football team stripes the field or that the basketball team does repairs in the gym. So sad the Boys of Summer will have to suffer.
  18. No problem goaheadandjump! I knew that Silver Grove couldn't play at home and the game was scheduled for Pendleton County. With Pendleton County's field behind the school, they need a serious drought for them to even be able to play a home game this season. Even before this afternoon's rain their field still had standing water. I sympathize with the players, parents and coaches of the Wildcats Baseball Team because their home field was moved from Southern Elementary to behind the High School. They all worked their tails off last year to make such improvements at Southern Elementary and it looked great. They even hosted the 38th District Tournament last year. I apologize for the misunderstanding and I do hope they get to play their games.
  19. Wet field conditions at the field behind the High School (Pendleton's Home Field for 2012) and a missing Pitcher's Mound at Silver Grove resulted in the cancellation.
  20. Why is it that a few bad people involved in Booster Clubs can ruin an entire program? Some parents are so ignorant about the purpose of the Booster Club. Listen up, BOOSTER CLUBS are not funds to drain when your son or daughter leaves the program! The purpose of the BOOSTER CLUB is to raise the funds to provide the team, players and coaches the money they need for overnight trips, meals, equipment, umpires, etc. I served as a BOOSTER CLUB President for over 7 years in one of the most prestigious baseball programs in the State of Kentucky. I would find out what the estimated budget was for the year and it was our goal to have fundraisers and meet those goals. As BOOSTER CLUB President, my goal was to add to the existing funds and when I left I had more money in the BOOSTER CLUB than when I began. I did serve as BOOSTER CLUB President in Basketball too and I had a bunch of spoiled Senior Parents who wanted to bankrupt the program when they left. The President should have the power to work with the Coach and the Treasurer should work with those 2. As President of Basketball Boosters I made sure the program was in better shape when I left than when I took over and I did it. So what is wrong with parents today? It starts when Recreation Leagues, Coaches and all think that all players who play are entitled to trophies, etc. Kids need to grow up. Most of all their parents need to grow up! Things are not free and life is not always fair. If you support the Booster Club for your child's benefit only, GET LOST! You are not a person the BOOSTER CLUB needs. Please somebody please give me an Amen to this thread! I know that I am not the only one who is totally sick of selfish parents claiming to be supporters of BOOSTER CLUBS.
  21. Harrison shoots 11 for 45 for the game and 1 for 16 on 3 pointers! They were fortunate to be as close as they were. Just a bad time to have the worst shooting night of the year. Congrats to Pendleton on the win and to Harrison County on a good season. I wish the KHSAA would make the districts seed!
  22. Anyone have any idea who will be coaching the Thorobreds when they take the field in 2012? It has been a coaching merry-go-round since Ray Graham left.
