The problem always comes about that it is a one game scenario........Pitching depth in high school is trumped by the one stud when it comes to winning the first district game to qualify for regional play..........

I believe that the pitching match up will be good between Wagner and Daugherty.

From what i saw last season, low 80's, good control, good curve. Heard he was 7-2 including a 9 inning win at Pulaski. He beat nicholas in the regular season but didn't start on the mound in disticts. He played for bluegrass.

Harrison and Nicholas will advance to the 10th Region Tournament unless Wagner is hurt.

Wagner is throwing 83-85 consistantly at Applebee's tonight and has hit 88. Pendleton couldn't score on Harrison's 3rd-5th pitchers so I doubt they will score much on Wagner. Daugherty is good too, but Pendleton will need to score some runs, they couldn't get the runs in the District last year and they lost most of their sticks too.

 

I wouldn't bet the house on it, but a steak dinner from Malone's says that a healthy Wagner will send Nicholas to the Regionals.
