10th Region: Harrison County 46 George Rogers Clark 37

GRC led at the half 23-20. but went cold. Harrsion Co advances to face Scott in the Semi's.

Many thanks to all the work that the Cards put in this season. It was a difficult one that saw many challenges and some adversity. But you made the regional (which was not expected early on) and you all played hard during a difficult season. I wish the best of luck to those that move on, and for those returning. Next season starts tomorrow...............

Congrats to the Thorobreds on the win and best of luck against Scott High.

Clark County defended well but just could not score the basketball after the first quarter. Up 19-16 (I think), then scored 18 the rest of the way.

Highlight of the evening for me - spending a few minutes with LCDAWGS19. Despite the regrettable encumbrance of being a good friend of Randy Parker, I found him to be personable and engaging; and he did not once play with his food.

Only one Kelsch sitting with Randy and me this evening; so I'll call it an open-faced sandwich. I'll say this - it was entertaining.

By the way - congrats to Harrison County on advancing. They had a height advantage nearly everywhere and made scoring difficult for the Cardinals. Clark did what they had to do in the second quarter when Blanton went out with his third foul - shortened the quarter and were still up; even though they only score 3 points in the quarter.

The foul situation went against Clark - with about 4 minutes to play I told anyone who would listen (a remarkable small audience) that with only 2 fouls they needed to commit a few strategic fouls in the event that they were still behind late in the game. That came back to bite them when they needed to put the 'breds on the line and had to foul 5 times to do so. Should have started much earlier and when it got desperate, took way to long to commit the fouls - seemed like between 6 and 10 seconds every time.

I was impressed with Sharrock for Clark. Reminded me, for 3 quarters anyway, of a smaller Troy Cooper. Cardinals look to me to have a lot to build with over the next couple of seasons.

Nice win for Harrison. Survive and advance.

I felt the highlight of my evening was meeting you, Papa. Everything RP has said about you was spot-on.

Congrats to HC!!! 20 win season, District Champs, Regional Semis, Regional Finals(???), Regional Champs (????). Pretty good season I'd say! Finally found a Kendall who can coach.

Pretty well dead on. :thumb:

Neither team played very well. GRC looked really solid in the 1st quarter & then never really recovered after Blanton picked up his third. He's going to be a dandy if he works on his game from now until next season. Strong in the paint, knows how to get position & has pretty good hands.

Pulliam played pretty well for the Breds & I thought Tyler Wagner did some nice things as well. Harrison County has a lot of length & can throw a lot of bodies out there. Congrats to them on the victory! :thumb:

Congrats to Harrison Co on the win and good luck the rest of the tourney. GRC will have all starters back next year. Only Seniors were Blake Roberts, who didn't get to play much this year because of shoulder injuries and Dariel King. Proud of my GRC Cards. Under sized at most positions, but still battled till the end. Got to work on our offensive in the off season. Defense has always been a strong suit for the Cards.
