With the turf field, it's going to be hot hot hot. Of course with the wind blowing, that will make a difference. But still...

Will Friday's high temps. affect the outcome...
Even when players are "in shape", they can still have problems in this heat. Fluid intake throughout the day and eating lunch will be today’s key. Hopefully these games will not start until 8-8:30.

Trinity and St Xavier question?
Luckily, you don't have to worry about being embarrassed when we lose nor happy when we win. Probably just angry.

Trinity and St Xavier question?
We have to prove ourselves EVERY year. And EVERY year there are capable teams the offer commendable challenges. Your statement is misleading at best. True, we don't limit our size (like others choose to). We don't limit our geography (like others choose to), however please be reasonable. No one is going to drive 100 miles to and from school. Any perceived advantage we have has been EARNED over the life of our school. We are not keeping other schools down. They have every opportunity to excel if they want to… They would not be allowed to play us per All Tell's info. I imagine they would. What I find embarrassing is that other schools in the state cannot field better teams to compete with Trinity and St. X more often. We play teams all the time with much better athletes (both playing and hall walkers). Male, Manual, Scott Co., Henry Clay, and Ballard have the best of the best (great facilities, athletes, school, etc). They walk out of the locker room looking like NFL teams. After playing schools like that I often shake my head in wonderment at just how we win against those teams.

This will be a very good test for both teams. Should be a fun night.

Best off line in the state
Pre-season best oline. LOL! Let's see what happens when it's 4th and 3 deep in the 4th quarter of a real game before we crown any one or any group the "best".

Lou. Central/ vs. DuPont Manual
Given that Manual is ranked ahead of X, they need to win this game against a 3A team. I say they do. 24-17

St. X./Henry Clay Scrimmage
True. When the offense can't throw the ball... stack the box.

Toughest place to play High School football?
What about sportsmanship? Do you think it's OK to throw sportsmanship out the window in order to "intimidate" the visiting team? If the home administration condones their fans use of cursing, profanity, threats (including those from a 6 year old - shame), I think the KHSAA should step in. Is that the kind of environment a school or the association it belongs to promotes? Lack of administrative control... Safety is another issue. When the sidelines are so small (or water logged) to a point that the players/coaches cannot get out of the way of a tackle out of bounds, that is a safety issue. The game should be moved to a safer field. You can continue to view this as intimidation. I view it as very childish actions that no program should condone. It needs to be cleaned up.

Toughest place to play High School football?
Sounds like the KHSAA should mandate acceptable standards for hosting a home football game. Sportsmanship, visiting team safety, and acceptable sidelines should be requirements. If not, the home team should lose by means of forfeit.

Eastern at Trinity 10/06/06
I hope I'm wrong. I'm not worried about Trinity scoring enough points to win the game (they will), but rather it's Eastern's offense that I'm impressed with. Last week their QB ran 27 times for 250 yards and 4 TD. Plus he was 9 for 17 and 140 yards with 1 TD through the air. Don't forget about the other RB - 14 times for 62 yards and 1 TD. That's nothing to sneeze at. I think we will win, but it will not be a blow out.

Eastern at Trinity 10/06/06
Eastern will give the Rocks more of a game than some think. Their athletes are very good.
