Is Simon Kenton a Real Threat in 6A?
All Tell replied to TheDeuce's topic in KY Football (High School)
The only way SK plays either PRP or Butler is in the state championship game. There's no way that scenario happens. A very early prognostication would call for Ballard to play at SK in round 2. If PRP did play SK this year I think PRP would win, Butler no. -
6A #1 Trinity vs. #2 St. Xavier at University of Louisville
All Tell replied to thsrocks's topic in KY Football (High School)
You're just chomping at the bit for Trinity to lose aren't you? I'd give real money to know why you seen so peeved at Trinity, especially since you identify yourself as a Trinity fan. -

Would not shock me at all if Ballard beat SK in the playoffs. -

Trinity, St. X, Male, PRP ? Before tonight I may have included Ballard but they are just to inconsistent. The rest of that district is not good. Manual maybe, but they're very inconsistent so they are in the same category as Ballard. Butler no. -
Can't wait to hear the SK spin for the closeness of this game.

40-0 after 3. JTown has had the ball the entire half so far.

Baselines and pitch distance are.

I've never understood why a soccer field used for competition is not a uniform size no matter where you play.

Josh using the goodbye messages the way he did probably changed the game. In the future I'm sure players will now use them to convey whatever information they want, true or false. They have been weaponized. Paul knew he was in trouble as soon as he saw them. It was 1 aspect he couldn't control and that he totally over looked.
-
Part of the game and what I consider the beauty of games like BB and Survivor. You actively help destroy the dreams of the people you want to make your dreams come true. We'll never know but had Paul acted a little contrite last night and owned his game maybe he would have swayed 1 voter.
-
And he still won because Paul mismanaged the jury. The jury were whiney idiots and Paul should have anticipated a bitter jury. In the end I think Paul started believing he was invincible and just stopped worrying about the social game. It cost him.

The look on Paul's face when it came to the last vote and it was Cody's was absolutely priceless.

Reduce the number of classifications?

And if you reduce the number of teams those games would be played only 2 weeks earlier. -

Now that I have stirred the pot really well let me tell you what I'd really like to see. Return to 4 classes with only district winners and runners up making the playoffs. I love football but football season is to long for teams that go deep into the playoffs. However any time the subject of reducing the number of participants in football playoffs is brought up someone will inevitably cry foul because everyone in basketball makes the playoffs, thus my repeated references to basketball in this thread. Comparisons of football to basketball are ludicrous as I hope some of my posts illustrated. and *GASP* I would have no problem with classifying basketball and I also believe that the teams that opt to participate in the All A shouldn't be in the district structure for the Sweet 16. -

That's bordering on blasphemy and may well result in your expulsion from Kentucky. -
Reduce the number of classifications?

Don't care. If it's good for basketball it has to be good for football. -

Or at least that's what the All-A champions will try to sell, but try to keep the All A-ers from playing for the real state championship and I don't even want to imagine the wailing and gnashing of teeth we'd hear. -

Nope. But I think if basketball can just have 1 champion so should football, then maybe we'd avoid the inevitable off season threads about champion A is better then champion AA, should we have a post-playoff tournament, etc. -

I don't care about more competitive, it's what basketball does. If the basketball kids all deserve to be in the playoffs and play for 1 true champion I don't see where the football kids deserve any less. -

I still think it should be just like basketball. If those kids get a chance to play for 1 overall champion and everyone makes the playoff then why shouldn't the football kids get the same opportunity. I can't wait for that first round Trinity vs. Shawnee playoff game. -
Whether you like ventriloquists or not you have to admit that a 12 year old with that voice, singing 2 parts flawlessly while manipulating the puppets is pretty amazing.
