  1. No. In recent years weather has been sketchy and that kept crowd down. On a very good year 30,000 is an excellent crowd.
  2. The LIT ratings are a remnant of a time gone by when no one ever played anyone outside their region of the state
  3. I have less of an issue with CovCath being ranked 1 then with Trinity dropping all the way to 5th, behind Male who they shut out. More proof that this outdated formula needs to die.
  4. Incredible to me that the new school (that many on here said would struggle) have put themselves in position to not only make the playoffs but to host a game. The only district loss I saw for them is Scott County.
  5. Why never a re-match? When your signature win is almost 8 years old you're not a power.
  6. Nope. Your playoff flame outs do that.
  7. Simon Kenton doesn't qualify as a power. Would love to see Scott County play the Louisville powers, maybe on a rotating basis.
  8. Friday, Saturday and Sunday games. 6a will be Sunday Dec 3 at 2. Only game that day. Not sure how the other classifications are set up.
  9. The only way SK plays either PRP or Butler is in the state championship game. There's no way that scenario happens. A very early prognostication would call for Ballard to play at SK in round 2. If PRP did play SK this year I think PRP would win, Butler no.
  10. You're just chomping at the bit for Trinity to lose aren't you? I'd give real money to know why you seen so peeved at Trinity, especially since you identify yourself as a Trinity fan.
  11. Would not shock me at all if Ballard beat SK in the playoffs.
  12. Trinity, St. X, Male, PRP ? Before tonight I may have included Ballard but they are just to inconsistent. The rest of that district is not good. Manual maybe, but they're very inconsistent so they are in the same category as Ballard. Butler no.
  13. Can't wait to hear the SK spin for the closeness of this game.
  14. 40-0 after 3. JTown has had the ball the entire half so far.
  15. Baselines and pitch distance are.
  16. I've never understood why a soccer field used for competition is not a uniform size no matter where you play.
  17. That's a really good question. No tuition and most likely you'll be granted a waiver on the transfer rule and allowed to play immediately.
  18. KEEPING MY MOUTH SHUT... KEEPING MY MOUTH SHUT... KEEPING MY MOUTH SHUT... KEEPING MY MOUTH SHUT... Wow this is hard when they get teed up so well.
  19. And if you reduce the number of teams those games would be played only 2 weeks earlier.
  20. Now that I have stirred the pot really well let me tell you what I'd really like to see. Return to 4 classes with only district winners and runners up making the playoffs. I love football but football season is to long for teams that go deep into the playoffs. However any time the subject of reducing the number of participants in football playoffs is brought up someone will inevitably cry foul because everyone in basketball makes the playoffs, thus my repeated references to basketball in this thread. Comparisons of football to basketball are ludicrous as I hope some of my posts illustrated. and *GASP* I would have no problem with classifying basketball and I also believe that the teams that opt to participate in the All A shouldn't be in the district structure for the Sweet 16.
  21. That's bordering on blasphemy and may well result in your expulsion from Kentucky.
  22. Don't care. If it's good for basketball it has to be good for football.
  23. Or at least that's what the All-A champions will try to sell, but try to keep the All A-ers from playing for the real state championship and I don't even want to imagine the wailing and gnashing of teeth we'd hear.
