Trinity defeated Jeffersontown 40-6 to raise their record to 6-0.

Senior QB Nick Bohn leads the Trinity offense. Juniors Geremiah Smith and Luke McGuire are the leading rushers for Trinity. Seniors Rondale Moore and Nick Strothman are the key receivers for the Shamrocks.

 

St. Xavier beat #3 Pleasure Ridge Park 35-21 in their district opener. The Tigers are led by senior QB Jack Albers. Junior WR Andre Coleman has returned to football for the first time since his freshman season. Senior Brett Metzmeier is the leading running back for St. Xavier. The Tigers have 55 seniors on their roster of 100 players.

 

Trinity has won five straight versus the Tigers and 12 of the last 13. St. Xavier last defeated the Shamrocks 35-21 in the 2014 regular season game. The previous Tigers win was recorded in the 2009 state championship game. This game was played at Western Kentucky University and St. Xavier won 34-10. The series began in 1956 and stands at 43 wins for Trinity, 37 wins for St. Xavier with 2 ties.

Voted with my heart for the Tigers but don’t see my Tigers being able to stop Rondale Moore.

With the team Trinity has, and with the schedule they play, they have no excuse to not prevail in this game by at least 14 points. However, if they overlook Saint X, they do so at their peril. If Trinity has the slow start on offense they have been famous for this year, and Saint X gets up on Trinity by a couple of touchdowns, then the whole complexion of the game will change. Saint X is a proud school, with a proud tradition.they have to be tired of losing the last 12 out of 13 games to Trinity. Trinity is ripe for an upset.

I understand Coach Wolford stated Metzmeier has a serious knee injury. We'll see how Moretti fairs Friday.

Trinity needed a game to help get over the bumps and bruises of their schedule. They will be ready.

This is probably one of the more close matchups I think we have had in a while for this one. I honestly expect the margin of victory to be 10 or less by whoever win. Pulling for the Rocks of course.

Considering the fact that the starters had to play 4 full quarters in each of the other games I don't expect that 1 game where they sat a half will make much difference.

Trinity wins this one going away in the second half 38-21.

X has to have ball control type drives that produce TDs. Moore will undoubtedly get some big chuck plays, just hope not a bunch.
