It depends on the 6A program and their aspirations.

Apparently some one took umbrage to a smaller school celebrating a win over a 6A school saying size of school wasn't that big an issue. My point was if is size is only a minor factor in a schools potential football success why is it the only factor considered in KY when classifying?

Does Highlands need a coaching change?
All Tell replied to katbird's topic in KY Football (High School)
There's nothing wrong with hiring a person from within if that's the best person for the job but I think it's shortsighted and stupid to think only an "&&&" person can coach at "&&&" High School because a non "&&&" person wouldn't understand how the culture works there. -
Serious questions. Do you think PRP can compete with X and Male? I've only seen Male in person and their offense seems to have a whole lot of questions. The win over BG by PRP is impressive. One of those 3 teams is going to be a 3 seed. Which district are they paired against in round 1?

Why?

You're right. I remembered it being 10 points, just forgot the details. I'm a senior. :ohbrother:

Didn't see it posted. Rocks complete the sweep.

I believe that Indiana does it do some degree, not exactly shire how theirs works but I do know that after Cathedral had a lot of success in a smaller classification they were moved into the big school classification.

Easy set up for a jab at Simon Kenton but I'm going to pass. If, as the gist of this thread seems to imply in my mind anyway, size of student body doesn't matter then why classify based on that alone? Wouldn't a better classification be based on a combination of both size and history of success (or lack there of)?

Does Highlands need a coaching change?
All Tell replied to katbird's topic in KY Football (High School)
I'm a HUGE believer in loyalty and I have no clue what process Highlands used to select their current coach but a program the caliber of Highlands needs to seek out the best person available regardless of ties to the school. If they searched and the current guy was the best candidate that's one thing. If they just hired him because he was there and next in line well.... -

How can one of the largest high schools in the state be this consistently bad? -
Anything to make the NKY 6A districts look respectable.

When does Simon Kenton actually play someone?

I am impressed Trinity shut out Male.

She mentioned starting with WWE during the show Monday. To each his own I guess. Connect the dots...ANW is on NBC, which owns USA, which has television rights to both WWE entities. I really hope this isn't the start of a "relationship" between ANW and WWE.

Looks like Trinity will have open date on 9/15 afterall....

Are we really talking about this? The people of Florida are bracing for the strongest hurricane recorded in the Atlantic and some are worried about if it will affect a high school football game? Last week many schools in Kentucky very wisely rescheduled Friday night football games in the interest of safety and that was just very heavy rain. Maybe, just maybe we should wait and see how the storm plays out before worrying about how it will affect something as insignificant as a high school football game. -
See the post right above. Just read the spoiler sites.

Seneca won't beat J-Town so I see a second game with the Redhawks at Marshall Stadium (but that's OK everyone DESERVES to be in the playoffs :deadhorse:) I believe that other then SK vs. #4, the Jefferson County teams win in round 1 and I wouldn't be shocked if Ballard beat SK in round 2 but I'd much prefer Trinity to have that honor week 3.

2017 Litkenhous Ratings 9-5-2017

The CJ is a dinosaur. -
I love The Ten Commandments but can't honestly remember ever watching it from start to finish. The Last Temptation of the Christ was mentioned. I remember the controversy it stirred when it was released. I finally watched it and was thoroughly bored. The recent Bible mini-series produced by Roma Downy and Mark Burnett was very well done.

The veto ceremony has taken place. Highlight and read below if you want to know the results. Please no one quote this post as it will show the spoilers. Paul won the veto and saved Alex. Kevin and Jason are final noms. Totally boring season. I haven't watched an episode in 3 weeks, just follow the spoiler sites.

2017 Litkenhous Ratings 9-5-2017
All Tell replied to Colonels_Wear_Blue's topic in KY Football (High School)
This is an absurd rating. Trinity shouldn't have a ranking. Butler at #2 is a head scratcher based on wins over Bullitt East and Western being enough I guess to offset a loss to DeSales. X at 16, PRP not even in the top 20 yet both are undefeated against better opponents? Why does the CJ continue to publish this outdated ranking system? -
There's a Double Dog in Middletown.
-
I wish I felt as confident as many on here. This is a bitter rivalry and anything can happen. Trinity has started slow the last 2 games and have been able to recover. This will be their first game on grass and in a very hostile environment. I'm not predicting a loss but I believe it will be like all recent games with Male, a battle down to the wire.

Public Address Announcer: Cheerleader or "Just the facts"
All Tell replied to thsrocks's topic in KY Football (High School)
And while we're on the subject how about at least trying to learn how to pronounce names correctly. Look at a roster and if you see a name you aren't sure how to say, ask someone.
