With this weekend having some games moved to Saturday, which "football" takes precedence? High School football or college? Personally high school wins for me except for this week when I've already invested money for Louisville's road game.

High school me.

There are some aspects of College I like more than HS but majority I like HS more. Especially the automatic first down penalty. I love how they do not have that in HS.

I like both and this Saturday after watching Trinity/Moeller in person I'll be at a watering hole watching Louisville/Purdue. There are things I loathe about the current college game. TV timeouts seem excessive and excessively long. I also go to NFL games and the game seems to flow better. I hate the current replay system. Even on plays that no one is disputing there are stoppages that take forever to "confirm" the ruling on the field. They need to go to the same challenge system the NFL uses.

College football, nothing like 50-100,000 rabid fans in one place.

Love the purity of HS sports, but the crowds get the heart pumping.

Totally Agree THS! Plan is to get the Big Green Egg Rollin EARLY Saturday. Get it to just "low and slow" state (past smoking stage); then go to the BG vs X game (leave Egg babysitting to my wife - risky but worth it - all she has to do is make sure the temp doesn't spike for some unknown reason) and get back to take a couple boston butts off and resting prior to the Cards game! Should be awesome!

I'd like to see high school on Friday and Saturday, college on Sunday and Monday nights, and the NFL go away...

High school for many reasons: cost factor; normal Friday night game does not interfere with much (schedule those weddings the other 36 weeks of the year or find a nice "open date"); I do not need alcohol during the game; weekly renewal of friendships and less hassle with the crowds; parking is always easier for high school games; did I mention cost as a factor.

Well since my kid will be playing Sat in their season opener I will have to go College this Saturday.

The length of college games is out of control. I wish they would go to the NFL clock system and not stop the clock on first downs. Plus every record is now being obliterated. With how the college game has evolved, if a team holds their opponent to less than 30, I feel like they did a good job.

I walk from my house to Highlands for the games. It's only about 3/4 of a mile, but there's no way I get closer parking.

Were the NFL to "go away," college football would soon follow, since you've removed the motivation for most college FB players to even be in that sport. Our country's best athletes would see no need to risk life and limb in football without that NFL payday in their sights.
