For the record I hate PA guys that think people are there to hear what they say. The ones that try to act like radio play by play guys really irritate me. I think Trinity's guy is fairly even. He may sound a little more animated when Trinity makes a big play but I would no means describe him as a cheerleader. He never encourages the crowd and pretty much sticks to the facts of what's happening on the field. We will definitely have a cheerleader on the mike this Friday at Male.
I'm a staunch supporter of law enforcement but I really believe that this guy messed up. As I watched the video the impression I got was the officer was trying to embarrass/intimidate the nurse. Telling line was after he cuffed her and was pushing her towards the car she complained that he was hurting her, his response was walk faster then. I see a soon to be out of work officer and a check with many zeroes written to the nurse.
According to the friend at the game who ever decided that it should be played tonight was nuts. The field is trashed and it's lucky both teams made it through without injury.
Certainly the fact that CH is a grind it out, smash mouth, little or no finesse type team, whereas CAL is a bit more passing oriented didn't have anything to do with this decision did it?
Why was this game not rescheduled or at least moved to CAL where they have a turf field? How well does Central Hardin's field drain? Can any high school grass field take the kind of rain we are getting and be safe to play on? If anyone gets hurt as a direct result of playing on a :poop:y field I hope the administrators that decided to play this tonight take lots of grief.
I like both and this Saturday after watching Trinity/Moeller in person I'll be at a watering hole watching Louisville/Purdue. There are things I loathe about the current college game. TV timeouts seem excessive and excessively long. I also go to NFL games and the game seems to flow better. I hate the current replay system. Even on plays that no one is disputing there are stoppages that take forever to "confirm" the ruling on the field. They need to go to the same challenge system the NFL uses.
Trinity changed to and I'm completely in favor of doing it. As much as I like to slam JCPS over their stupidity at times, the schools that opted to change made the right decision regardless of what the final outcome with the weather is.
