  1. With their "tough" schedule is there a doubt? I see another playoff flameout.
  2. Great comeback. When you have no ammunition in your gun throw it. Is SK going to win it all this season?
  3. I'll do something I don't normally do and defend Waggener. I believe that lost one of their starters to an injury in the district championship game. They didn't have a lot of depth to start with.
  4. Seems to me like a cakewalk game (and a game with SK would be a cakewalk for any GCL school or big OH school) with lots of Harbin points possible would be exactly what they would seek.
  5. Not likely. Even a blind squirrel can find a nut occasionally. Besides by the time that happens both of us are likely to be worm food. They'd actually have to play for SK to beat them and Marksberry will never willingly let that happen. 232-0 58 points
  6. Nice comeback. Almost as potent as SK's offense has been against Trinity.
  7. 17-14. They also won a ring that same year beating a team that hammered SK twice. (36-10, 24-0) That Trinity would have shut that SK team out AGAIN. It's really pointless to trash talk about a team you've never beaten, never been competitive with or never even scored on.
  8. Keep saying it, maybe someday SK will actually grow the stones to take on a legit 6A school that they aren't mandated to play. I won't hold my breath though.
  9. Just so as not to be misinterpreted I'll spell it right out for you. Trinity has proven that they can compete with and beat Ohio big schools therefore they are not the cash cow that SK would. SK is as close as to a guaranteed win as there is for one of the big Ohio schools.
  10. Seems to me that if SK were willing they could have the pick of the litter of Ohio schools. They're a cash cow of Harbin points.
  11. Ryle scrimmaging Trinity the next 2 years.
  12. If SK is on the same level as T, X and H they should be able to hold their own against those teams shouldn't they? Are you saying that SK isn't as good as the 3 schools you mentioned?
  13. I remember the game, it was 2001. Couldn't get another person in there with a shoehorn. X won that game by 20. Hoping for a similar result for the home team this time.
  14. Greatest schedule EVER. No one in 6A will be able to stay within 5 touchdowns of them. The regular season juggernaut continues.
  15. You'll probably want to go by one of the schools Monday to get your ticket. I don't know that any will be available at the door.
  16. Because the Valley gym was built specifically to host the regional tournament. I'm not a fan of driving to Valley for the games either but it is what it is. It's not going to change so complaining about it is rather fruitless.
  17. Games Tuesday at 7 at District Winners Valley @ Southern DeSales @ Fern Creek Jeffersontown @ Doss Moore @ Pleasure Ridge Park Semifinals Friday @ Valley Championship Tuesday Mar 7 at Valley Everyone playing for runner-up. No one is within 15 points of Fern Creek
  18. They are playing in Steinhauser which should be an incredible atmosphere.
  19. Trinity/X game will be played at Trinity
  20. Waggener is in position to play in the championship game. They got a great draw. Trinity and Ballard potentially in the semi-final again.
  21. Here are the match-ups Central at Ballard X at Trinity Waggener at Manual CAL at Male
  22. Draw happens Sat, Feb 25 at 11. District Winners: Ballard Male Manual Trinity District Runners-up CAL Central St. Xavier Waggener First round games Tuesday Feb 28 at D winners. Semis Thursday Mar 2 at Valley, finals Monday Mar 6 at Valley Overall the 7th isn't as deep as it normally is. Waggener is the best of the runners-up and I see them as the only one with a shot at a win but that depends on the draw. I would pick them over Male or Manual and give them a shot against Ballard but would pick Ballard in that match-up. I don't see Central, CAL or X beating any of the winners. Trinity has to be favored but the elephant in the room is that they haven't played Ballard yet this year. I don't think Ballard is as dominant as they have been in the past but they are still Ballard. Male and Manual both seem to be peaking right now which is great for them but I don't see either beating Trinity or Ballard.
  23. At the conclusion of the regional championship game are the champs allowed to cut down the nets? I remember back when I was in school the 6th and 7th regions were played at rotating sites and after the finals the ladders were brought out and the nets were cut down. Since they've been playing the 6th and 7th together be it at The Gardens, or Bellarmine or now Valley they no longer allow this to happen. The winning team is given a net with the trophy which is kind of silly to me. Just curious.
