Colerain did it in Ohio divison I which is arguably the best football in the country some years. That group was men among boys though.

Newport 33 Ludlow 12 tonight over at Ludlow. Could have been worse, I think Newport scored on all of its offensive possessions when the 1's were in and they also had a kick return for a td. Ludlow also returned a kick for a td and their lone offensive score came againts the wildcats second team defense.

All the games that were to be played at Ludlow Saturday were cancelled due to rain. Newport/Ludlow game is being made up tomorrow 6pm at Ludlow. The only score I heard from the weekend was Campbell Co 19 Twenhofel 0. Hear Campbell is very good this year.

Anderson is down from last years very good team but Im sure they are still a solid team.

Newport 36 Brossart 16 today out at Dixie. Brossart came out with a 4 wideout offense and threw the ball around and scored first but Newport answered back on their first play from scrimmage with a long td run. Brossart came back and scored again after completing a pass that was then fumbled but recovered by another mustang and ran in for the score. After that it was all Newport as they scored 28 unanswered points and the defense shut down the mustang offense for the rest of the game by picking off 3 Brossart passes. Newport moves to 3-0 and there is a very good chance that when they meet NCC in the final game of the regular season that both teams are 6-0.

Newport 32 Walton 16. Wildcats were up 32-8 before Walton scored on the cats 2nd team defense. Newport goes to 2-0 on the year. Not sure of the score but Tichenor beat Holmes in the game before.

26-15 Newport at the half. Has to be at least 5 turnovers in the game so far.

20-8 Wildcats still first quarter. Sloppy game so far 3 turnovers for Bellevue and 1 for Newport. 2 of Newports td's came on 4th down with one being 4th and 18.

Newport plays Walton @ Twenhoffel at 2:30pm.

I saw some of the second half and I would have to agree with you about the game.

Newport beat Tichenor in their first game of the season tonight out at Lloyd by a score of 12-7. NMS lead 6-0 at the half but Tichenor came out and drove the ball down the field for a score and the extra point to take a 7-6 lead. NMS got the ball back with around 2 minutes left in the 3rd and put together a drive that took up almost the whole 4th quarter and capped it off with a game winning td run with 55 seconds left to go. Pendleton beat Ludlow in the game before 12-2 I believe. Was 6-2 until Pendleton score with 6 seconds left in the game.

Never saw him before but after watching the video Clyde posted I can see why coaches like what they see. He's got the frame, footwork, athletic ability, mechanics and without knowing him Id say he probably has the smarts to play the position as well. Guess I'll have to find a Dixie game to make it to this year and check him out.

Cant really blame him I guess, he did go there and lives out that way. Hope he has success with the Camels.

This really sucks. Someone told me this last night and I couldnt believe it. Knew him since we were both at TMC and played ball together. Think the last time I talked to him was last season right before the Newport/Ludlow scrimmage. Jordan always seemed to have the biggest smile on his face. RIP buddy.

Nice. Bout time we got some more Newport blood out at TMC.

Not disrespecting the kid but unless he seriously bulks up, I don't see him playing d-line in college, even at the mount. Does anybody know if they have any plans of moving him to a different position? Also that picture of him going against Matt James is unfair because Matt James is a mountain so it makes him look even smaller.

Defense and rebounding will be key in this game for Newport. Sure they were hot shooting the ball against Holmes but I think that day they played probably their best defensive game all year and they rebounded well against a much more athletic team. Thats why they beat Holmes, the hot shooting is why they won by 26 instead of like 5 or 10 points. I saw CC play Holmes last year in the first round at Rupp and I was impressed. I thought that after Holmes they were one of the next best 2 or 3 teams down there. Going to be a tough one for my wildcats but they have a very good shot to win the game no doubt.

He's as good as they get around here IMO. :thumb:

Were you filming from the scorers table like in the last video you posted? If so that was Holmes section behind you.

Didnt see the Ryle game but from the 4th quarter of the CCH game on he just went into beast mode and dominated the tournament. When he is aggressive with the ball in his hands one of 3 things is going to happen. He is either going to score, get fouled, or draw the defense to him and kick it to an open teammate for a good look.

Sadly I did not know the school fight song while I was in school and just learned it within the past year. Thanks Coach Rice! Pure domination over the last 4 years. Even as a Newport fan its been fun to follow them recently and I went to my first sweet 16 last year just to see the dawgs first round game. Was a really fun team to watch and even if my Wildcats didnt win yesterday I probably would have went to Rupp to cheer on the dawgs.
