My last year at Newport the weight room under the stands got condemned and we couldnt use it. Since then they have put together a nice weightroom at the school and think they cleaned up the one under the bleachers as well but havent been in there in a long long time.

What excuse? His post was pretty informative for me as I had no clue what this tournament was.

Hope that even though Coach Hyder is stepping down that he stays at Newport as a teacher and a coach in some capacity whether it be football or baseball. I hope Rice does get the job this time. Many of those reasons have been listed already. If he could get a team to workout half as hard as he ever did then there would be some awfully strong kids down there. I think the kids would like playing for him a lot too.

I listened to some of the Texas 4A title game and it was a shootout like 69-49.

Man I love bowling. Wish we had a team at Newport when I was there.
