Good weekend for the cougars as the beat Boone 7-3 on Friday night behind a strong outing by Thompson and the long ball from Simms. They back it up with a big win at Notre Dame on Saturday beating the pandas 8-5.

Another solid outing by 7th grader Elizabeth Sims. 12 K's. Great defense and strong hitting by the cougars. Blew it wide open in the 6th. This helps relieve some pressure off their young pitcher.

Joe the Officer returns the ball back to the officials after he retrieves it from Edna Jester. Not sure if this thread is about the cooper job or about who knows what about how coaches and teachers get hired or let go. At this point does any body really care?? Nate is now the principal and Alan is now the coach. Who cares how it happened.

With Kim Warfield winning the region as a player and now as a coach at Conner High School, a thought came to my mind. Has there ever been a player win the 9th region and then be a head coach as a 9th region champion? I do not know this answer. Any suggestions?

When Conner won in 93 they lost the district championship to St. Henry.

Kim Warfield has to be the premier shooter. She could outshoot anyone, girl or boy, when she was in highschool. She could pass as well. If she doesn't injure her knee going into her senior year she picks her college. A little trivia for you on her she maybe the only person to "redshirt" in high school. Not sure how she got around it but she did it. Not taking anything away from Walz because I would pick her first as well. Warfield 2nd.

Conner lost to pendleton w/out Sr. point guard. They missed 5 free throws while being up 6 w/ 1:00 on the clock and lost on a buzzer beater. They were beating beechwood by 7 at halftime.

If conner would have had their starting point guard that night conner beats pendleton. So, I say dixie wins.

Quickslick was right. It was the 89 season with the seniors of that team graduating in 90. I believe quickslick was on the field when Griesser bounced that field goal in.

I may be mistaken but I believe that Conner beat scott in 1990 on a last second field goal that hit the cross bar and went in.

If Ryle beats Boone they are #2. If Boone beats Ryle and Conner they are #2 and RYle #3, Connner #4. If Conner beats Boone they are #3. So Boone could be 2/3/4 and Ryle could be either 2/3. Conner could be either 3/4.

They had a nice finish of the 4th quarter. Conner cut the lead to 6 with the ball and then turned it over with about 4 min to go and then they went on their run to end the game.
