After 2 weeks of play who are the top 10 teams?

1) Holmes (1 loss but to an out of region team in SK)

2) St Henry

3) Covcath ( will move back up to #2 once they get everyone back)

4) Holy Cross

5) Boone

6) Newcath

7) Dixie

8) Highlands

9) ????

I agree but I would put Conner just ahead of Highlands for now and maybe as high as 5th. They are not getting any love from anyone right now but they will.

From the looks of these polls, the 9th region All "A" will be REALLY interesting this year ( 3 of the top 5-6)??

They lost to Pendleton County and trailed Beechwood by three at halftime. Easy to give them no love.

With Simon Kenton, Scott, Brossart, Campbell County, and smaller schools who occasionally have good teams like Silver Grove and Walton, no longer in the region it's hard to find 10 good teams in the Ninth anymore. Still a balanced region, but IMO it's not 10 deep these days.

Conner lost to pendleton w/out Sr. point guard. They missed 5 free throws while being up 6 w/ 1:00 on the clock and lost on a buzzer beater. They were beating beechwood by 7 at halftime.

Since when are rankings based on the score at halftime? It's the score at the end of a game that matters, in the Beechwood game it was a 20+ margin and that was playing JV and 4 freshman players most of the 4th quarter. They were within 1 point of beating probable #1 Simon Kenton at one point in the 4th quarter, and Simon Kenton's own coach said Conner out played them. They have lost two games this year both because they are young and made mistakes in the 4th quarter. In the Beechwood game they started 1 senior, 3 juniors, and a sophomore, and often during the course of a game there are 4 juniors and a sophomore on the floor for extended periods. This is not to take away anything from the seniors who are good, it's just a reflection of their depth. This team is much better than recent Conner teams of the past so it's understandable that people are skeptical, but the results speak for themselves and I believe they will continue to do so. This team will only get better and you can take them lightly at your own peril.

Are you saying Conner is not a good team this year or just hard to find? ;)

As of RIGHT NOW.....

1. Holmes (only loss was to a tough team)

2. CovCath (St. H did beat them but with the addition of Bo and Brown....)

3. St. Henry (loss of Griffin moves them down a spot)

4. Holy Cross (nice schedule but looked average against Oak Hills)

5. Boone County (impressive win over Ryle, hopefully Ryan is healthy)

6. Conner (beat PC and stuck with SK, surprise to me)

7. Highlands (haven't had a chance to prove much, will this week though)

8. Dixie (basically from here out I know nothing about these three teams)

9. NewCath

10. Ryle
