Players were told that Kim Warfield will not be returning as coach of the girl's team next year.

Ha, ha! Not really any more info. I can't reveal my source. I will say this, she was a heck of a coach and had a great playing and coaching career at Conner.

What a shock that parents and players would be involved. Again probably a case of the tail wagging the dog.

100% agree!!

Remember the good ole' days when the coach would coach and the players played? Ahh, and the parents.... they stayed out of it and had no influence?

I hope this isn't the case, however......

Kind of reminds me of what happened at NCC and the influence of parents on the administration within the girls program.

I think like a lot of us "older" folks we are not properly remembering the good old days. I was in high school in the late 70s early 80s and parents were a problem then as well. Ask Kim Warfield's dad.

That's too bad. Coach Warfield's teams played a sound, competitive and hard-nosed brand of basketball. Best of luck to Coach Warfield, and also to the girls who will return. She will be missed.
