Is it unusual to have a parent of a player on the panel? It seems odd to me and it would seem to put the coach in a weird position.

 

Not unusual where I come from .... there is pretty much always a parent.

A lot of times .. that parent is a parent of a player.

But I wouldn't get hung up on that at all.

Committees are horse and pony shows.

At the end of the day--the principal has 100% complete hiring/firing authority inside their school.

They can take the recommendation of the Committee ... or file it in the circular file.

I have no idea which path will be taken here (I want to be clear on that).

As I said .. it isn't good/bad/indifferent ... but ... it is pretty obvious even to the untrained eye.

If you don't see it .. then it is just as well ...

I can back up anything that I say ... some of us just choose to not do it on a PUBLIC messageboard.

 

I have made it clear that I don't have an axe to grind either way. At the same time--I have directed you to simply look at the two programs--and how they are dealt with. You stated (to paraphase) that you don't see the differences. Which for me--is fine (I simply disagree). Why don't you have some class and show some respect in the same manner?
