NKYBOY1487 Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 What a rough one that was. This is the first time St. Henry has clinched a #1 seed in the 33rd since 2002. They went on to lose the district to Ryle, who went on to win the region that year. Very physical St. Henry trailed by 14 at one point and tied it up in 4th quarter at 42 and never looked back. Brandon Lenhof put the Crusaders on his back and got them a big win. Lenhof had led all scorers with 24pts. Adam Faust, who was ill, added 11 and hit 3 huge 3pters in the 2nd quarter (one from beyond NBA range) to help the Cru. Max Cantral played great D and came up with some huge steals and hustle plays. Ryle was led by Robbie Lykes, who was lights out in the first half, with 16pts. Nelson added 14-15 points and had a good game on the boards. Ryle is a very physical team and sometimes that gets them out of their game. But this isn't a team I'd want to play in the tourny. You can't prepare for this style. Maley was absent tonight and Patrick Miller didn't play (i'm guessing it was because of the Technical he picked up in the JV game).
NEERFAN Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 So how does the 33rd sit now? St. Henry is first, Heritage is last, I'm assuming Ryle is 3rd and Conner 4th? So it should look like this: Heritage/Conner vs St. Henry Boone/Ryle
Crossbar Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 St. Henry didn't hold the #1 seed in 2003? That's a shocker considering they were a bucket away from getting a ring.
NKYBOY1487 Posted February 1, 2006 Author Posted February 1, 2006 St. Henry didn't hold the #1 seed in 2003? That's a shocker considering they were a bucket away from getting a ring. In 2003 the Crusaders lost to Ryle and Justin Dolleman in the regular season. From what I remeber it was a good game but some of the players were playing sick through that regular season game. Ryle, SK, and St. Henry all finished 3-1 and St. Henry took the 3rd seed in a random draw. Ryle had the #2 seed and the rest is history.

So it should look like this: Heritage/Conner vs St. Henry Boone/Ryle This is how it seems to be turning out. But Boone Co. still has to play Ryle and Conner. Boone did play each of these teams earlier this season but the games didn't count towards district seedings. They seem to always play each other twice and the second game is always the one that counts. So really the only thing set in stone right now is St. Henry getting the #1 seed and Heritage getting the #5 and playing the #4.
cougarfan427 Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 If Ryle beats Boone they are #2. If Boone beats Ryle and Conner they are #2 and RYle #3, Connner #4. If Conner beats Boone they are #3. So Boone could be 2/3/4 and Ryle could be either 2/3. Conner could be either 3/4.
