  1. Perry Central should have a very good team this year. I look for them and Hazard to battle it out for the regional title.
  2. North Laurel had a good run last year. I know they lost some good players. What do they have coming back?
  3. I hear they are in a rebuilding process and it may take a year or 2, but I think Coach Thompson will get Mboro going in time. I hear they will be very young this year.
  4. LexCath has had a tough off season losing both Jaylen Beckham to St. Benedict and Larry Morton to Bryan Station. Those are 2 great players. But they still have 3 very nice returning players with Seth Beckham, Taylor Martin, and Scott Shuette. Plus some good young players. They will still be one of the main teams in the 11th region and will run their system.
  5. Knox Central should be a very solid team with Cannady and Broughton. They also have the good young big man, but I forget his name. KC seems to have had a nice run of talent lately. Of course they lose Cody Miller who was a great talent.
  6. 5A seems a lot easier than 4A. The only really good perennial team I see in 5A is Bowling Green. A matter of fact, with Bell Co. moving to 3A and having Lou. Central along with Breathitt, Belfry, and Corbin, I believe 3A is better at the top than 5A will be.
  7. It is a bit odd that all the 11th region schools are down in football it seems, but as for Fayette Co, basketball and football in the school system is ran very poorly. I'm not saying anything against the coaches but the rules are strict and its just hard to be successful IMO.
  8. This team will be loaded. The question is will Kimbro and Price be eligible? I heard Price would be and Kimbro won't be, but thats just rumors as far as I know.
  9. One of my favorites was in 2001. Bell Co. beat an undefeated Lawrence Co. team 8-0 at Lawrence,. Bell had like a 12 minute drive towards the end of the 3rd quarter and throughout most of the 4th quarter to win the game.
  10. Bell Co. looked awful good Friday night. They are going to be so much fun to watch this season. But they can't overlook a team like Madison Central. Its a big school with a lot of kids and a new coach and they beat North Laurel who has been pretty good lately.
  11. Hes a great athlete! Another player from the 13th that excells at both is Ben Madon at Bell County.
  12. It seemed to work quite well last year for them.
  13. This doesn't make sense to me really. I assume hes going to have a pretty good drive to school everyday from Shelby Co. I don't know why they didn't move in order for him to enjoy high school and play ball. Even if it is about academics its a shame the boy can't play ball this year.
  14. No he wouldn't. He never shows much at scrimmages. Thats not a slight on Clay Co. who apparently didn't run much either, but Bell Co. does not approach scrimmages anything like a real game.
  15. ????? A bit of a surprise that he isn't going to one of the main teams in Louisville this year.
  16. This is great news. Stenzel is a fine player and fun to watch. I think hes a good fit there as well.
  17. I did not get to attend Midnight Madness, but I hear there was a a big crowd on hand. I can't wait for season to start. There is a lot of excitement about this years's team.
  18. There are the D-1 full scholarship guys I know of: Ricardo Johnson (Holmes)- Ohio U Vance Hall (Franklin Co)- Wright St. U Ge-lawn Guyn (Scott Co)-Cinncinatti U Chad Jackson (Scott Co)- James Madison U Dakotah Euton (Scott Co)- Akron U Josh Sewell (Trinity)- Miami (OH) U Elisha Justice (Shelby Valley)- Louisville U
  19. I really like the idea of 5 classes in football. I think that is a good compromise. I did not go to the state championship games in football so I really can't comment on WKU hosting it. In basketball, I do agree with him that leaving Rupp Arena is possibly dangerous considering the success of the event. Although, for whatever reason I thought attendance was down last year. The best thing that he said I thought was simplifying the wording in transfer rules. Although its just not a simple issue in general.
  20. Tates Creek and Scott Co. will probably be the top 2 teams in the region IMO. LexCath losing 2 great players IMO will really hurt, but they will still be very good too.
  21. Just looking at the list I believe Fucci should be much higher. I think he is better than Parker. He should probably be around 10th IMO. Also, I believe Hickey should be up higher. Hes probably a top 5 or 6 player in the senior class next year.
  22. The best up and coming sophomores I have seen are: 1. Hicks-Seen him in the Sweet 16 and a couple other games. Hes an incredible talent IMO. 2. Hawkins-Very impressive player I seen 3 times last year. Every time I seen him as a freshman he scored over 20 points. 3. Morton-I saw him in a couple AAU games, very impressive. 4. Prewitt-Great player for Montgomery Co. I think he has a big upside and will get taller. 5. Quick-Great athlete, but I think football is his sport and with a focus on that it will probably hurt him slightly moving forward. 6. Richardson-I seen him last week at the State AAU tournament. Impressive player. Does everything so easily.
  23. I saw Tates Creek. Neither Barksdale or Fucci played. I also thought Henry Clay looked good early on. I don't know what happened to them in the tournament. I thought Scott Co. looked really good when I seen them as well. Why would South Laurel play a sr JV? Thats a little odd. I wonder why more teams don't play in this? Like Clark Co, LexCath, and Mason Co. Its not a far trip for them and from what I seen its ran really well. The referees are getting evaluated and seem like they are trying to better themselves. I understand Louisville schools. Isn't the Derek Smith tournament going on.
  24. In the last couple years no. But I don't know of any HS transfers going to Scott Co. this year.
