Knox could really benefit from Bell Co. dropping to 3A. Whos going to win between Bell and Knox is yet to be seen, but I don't know if I'd ever thought I would see the day where KC is better IMO than Corbin, Rockastle, Middlesboro, and Whitley Co. But they are better than all those teams I believe right now.

Your dislike for UK is clouding your judgment. Your judging what a kid would do in a "normal" high school saying that a high school kid would have gotten F's and dropped out. First off his grades should have never been made public IMO. Secondly, you know nothing about Bledsoe and neither do I. No reason to pass judgment on him.

I'm so glad he did though. The young man whofrom what I have heard was very poor and didn't have a whole lot. Now he is going to be a millionaire. Thats a great thing. If he did some work to get some extra credit then good for him. If he didn't do any extra work then that wouldn't be right, but I'm happy for him.

I find Maher to be a bit of a fool and wrong on most of what he says, so I'm not thrilled about anything he does really. I feel sorry for him to be that mixed up. That is just my opinion of him.

Is there any chance of Bell and Rock continuing to play after this season when Bell moves to 3A?

I believe what he was referring to is the ideaology of Rev. Wright or their opinion of it. I don't think its fair to assume Obama has the exact same beliefs as Rev. Wright.

What has happened at Rockastle? They have dropped so fast.

It seems like the region is more wide open than its been. I look for Harlan Co. to be pretty good also, I saw them this summer at the state AAU tournament. There is probably 6 or 7 teams going in that are good solid teams from what I've seen and heard.

Madison Central is still really young and I think will have some growing pains, but by the end of the year I look for them to be a very dangerous team.

I don't like taking away he district. That provides a championship for teams. Only 1 team per region can win a region so this gives more championship opportunities. Also, a lot of programs are not going to want to play all the regional teams in a season in order to seed.

That is probably the highest I have ever seen Whitley Co. ranked in a preseason ranking. Do they have a lot coming back this year?

Its hard to compare the games with a common opponent (Johnson Central) because its 2 different situations. Boyle Co. played JC the first game and had to make a long trip to Johnson Co. Bell played JC after having 4 tough games in a row and had to make a long trip to Log Mountain. Plus sometmes games are about matchups. One thing that was obvious was that Bell's balance offensively caused problems for JC.

With those teams you mentioned and Seneca that is probably 5 of the top 15 teams in the state IMO.

In that game Alcoa had I guess 90 something players while Bell may have had 40. Depth was a big issue in that game IMO.

Well Knox Central looks really good thus far this year. The Sheldon Clark game was a big surprise being so close, though. Tonight Bell just had too many weapons, and too much speed I thought.

Who should be the best teams in the region this year? I know Corbin lost a lot, but they are still Corbin. I look for Clay Co. to also be very good. What say you?

No probably not. Tates Creek and Scott Co. would probably be tied at the top right now IMO. Both teams will be very good I believe.

In the NFL now they have players with microphones on so you can hear them during the games, which I find entertaining. I've seen some interviews and audio from Coach Matney who seems pretty entertaining. And Coach Hilton is definitly entertaining to listen to. I'd like to see these 2 coaches miked up and be able to listen to them some during the game!

RAM, Great write-up, but I did see one mistake. Bell Co. actually has 2 Davenports. One is a JR. running back and the other is a Sr. WR. Both players are having great seasons.

The last thing they need to do to the 11th is add Clark Co. Its already a loaded region in general. I'd like to see them move some teams out of the 11th not move another great team in.

With new high schools going up a lot of places and some closing I'd say a realighnment is probaby necessary.

Thanks I just asked GT because he seems to be able to see all the high school transcripts and knows all the personal information on all the recruits, like who they are dating, where they spend most nights, etc. (kidding)

I think everyone has to agree this is a messed up process. If you rule a player eligible and a team plays him and does not have anything to do with what the player did that was against the rules, then how can you punish the school? I think now Calipari needs to think seriously about staying away from anyone in a similar situation as Bledsoe IF they were to take our wins from last year. GT, Do we have any grade/eligibility issues with any of our 2011 recruits?
