  1. I know I'm leaving some good players off, but here is my list: Chane Behanan (Bowling Green) Zach Price (Jeffersontown) Tony Kimbro Jr (Jeffersontown) Ryan Taylor (Lou. Western) Robbie Stenzel (Clark Co) Vinny Zollo (Clark Co) Anthony Hickey (Christian Co) Timmy Knipp (Elliott Co) George Fant (Warren Central) Tamron Manning (Scott Co) Ryan Fucci (Tates Creek) Remy Abell (Eastern) Isaiah Ivey (Scott Co) Kameron Woods (Eastern) Treg Setty (Mason Co)
  2. Yeah I just didn't feel like reading through yours. Just kidding!!
  3. Simon Kenton would have to travel a little farther and Scott Co. would have to travel a lot less. An ideal solution without looking at 5A would be to have North Oldham go to 6A and Simon Kenton to 5A. I don't know. I will say that with 6 classes these alighnments are almost impossible! I think having 5 classes would simplify a lot of things.
  4. What if they did 6A like this: District 1 - Daviess County, Henderson County, Marshall County, Muhlenberg County District 2 - Central Hardin, Meade County, Nelson County, Butler District 3 – Pleasure Ridge Park, Seneca, Southern, St Xavier District 4 - DuPont Manual, Male, Fern Creek, Trinity (Louisville) District 5 - Ballard, Eastern, Scott County, Oldham County District 6 - Boone County, Campbell County, Dixie Heights, Ryle District 7 - Bryan Station, Henry Clay, Simon Kenton, Clark County District 8 - Dunbar, Lafayette, Madison Central, Tates Creek The only problem I see with this for the most part is Simon Kenton. I really don't know what to do with them. But they should bet Dunbar back in the Fayette Co/Greater Lexington area.
  5. Based on this map I think it should be like this: 1 vs. 2 3 vs. 5 4 vs. 7 6 vs. 8
  6. You are right. I did not notice that. Could you imagine Bell having to travel to Paducah Tighlman or vice versa. That is just insane if you ask me. Someone needs to go show them a map!
  7. [QUOTE=02Ram54;3918773]Why bring up a straw man and pretend that the only argument against this alignment is that T and X can't meet in the finals? I'd be fine if they put T and X in neighboring districts and they always played for a regional, if it made geographic sense. These districts in Jefferson County don't pay attention to geography. Instead, the KHSAA is guilty of exactly what you accuse others of--being concerned with whether X and T make the finals. It shouldn't enter into their consideration. I agree with this post.
  8. The way I see it there are a lot of other schools who have real issues with the new alighnment, mainly with travel. Middlesboro's closest district opponent is about an 1 hr and 15 min. drive and they have 2 opponents well over 2 hour drives. Now that is a real issue to have to travel so much. You can say what you want about the new districts, but you are only going to have to drive 6 miles for Trinity and St X to play. In this new alighnment St X. and Trinity aren't catered to. And there is politics involved I'm sure, but its not as big of a problem as some people have.
  9. They did a poor job IMO of looking at geography for some schools. I'm sure there were some politics involved that we may never know about.
  10. I don't think the KhSAA is going to lose 200,000 dollars a year. Besides this does not need to bea ll about money.
  11. By that logic generally speaking in 4A Bell and Boyle shouldnt play until the finals every year. And Fort Campbell should have played Paducah Tighlman in the finals instead of before that last year. They are in the same city, so they should atleast be in the same region or on the same side to meet in the final 4. As for X and T they are sharing 3,000 boys basically. No one else has that luxury. And more power to them for having that.
  12. Its never made sense other than to generate money that Trinity and St X wouldnt meet until the finals.
  13. You seem to be a little out there saying that Kentucky football itself will suffer. How is this going to hurt Highlands, Beechwood, Bell Co, Danville, Boyle Co, Fort Campbell, etc? My point is that football is played in Kentucky outside of Louisville. Highlands is the premier football program in Kentucky if you ask me because they do it without a huge advantage over everyone else in number of boys. You guys are upset because they put you in a district with a school 6 miles away and say it doesn't make sense geographically speaking when Middlesboro has to be in a district with Lex. Christian and Danville. Look at a map and see how far they are apart.
  14. A team I feel sorry for from the area I am from is Middlesboro. They have long road trips and hafta go against Danville, Somerset, and Lex Christian.
  15. The region will be more balanced I think than it was last year and overall be better. It should be an exciting year in the 11th. I think Scott Co, Tates Creek, and Henry Clay will end up being the top teams with LexCath still being scary.
  16. Who are some of the best players in the region this year? I know about Madon at Bell and Hooker at Clay Co, who has several nice players. Also, the Sanders kid at SL is a good young guard and Cannady at KC is a nice player.
  17. That is awfully long. And you also have Bell Co. and Casey Co. in the same district 2 hrs + apart.
  18. Also Campbellsville and Williamsburg are in the same district and they are like 2 1/2 hours apart. Thats the same with Nicholas Co. and Paintsville being in the same district.
  19. Also, Bell Co. is in the same district as Casey Co. and it takes 2 1/2 hours to drive from Bell County to Casey Co. Thats a long trip for a district game.
  20. Wow Middlesboro and Lexington Christian are in the same district. Thats over a 2 hour drive, atleast 2 1/2 hours on a bus. Mapquest has it at like 2 hours and 28 minutes so you can add some time to that considering it will be on a bus. Also its over a 2 hour drive for Middlesboro to drive to Danville. And talk about a loaded district with Danville, Somerset, and Lex. Christian!
  21. I thought it was a great football game Friday night and both teams really battled each other. Those were 2 teams who were well-coached and gave it everything they had. I was really glad to see the 2 teams play a clean football game and not one where there were a ton of personal fouls and stuff like that. Both teams batltled each other and gave it everything they had.
  22. :thumb: I agree with everything you said. Also, something I would like to see is a shot clock, maybe 40 seconds.
  23. He wasn't Coach Hilton. But who is really. Coach Hilton is on the verge of being the all time winningest coach in Kentucky. Living up to Coach Hilton is ridiculously hard and some day when he is no longer Bell's coach someone else is going to have an unenviable task of replacing Coach Hilton again. BTW, who is Pardue?
  24. I believe Greer's record at Bell Co. in 4 years was like 30-13. Last time I checked I'd say 80% of the teams in Ky would be envious of that. As for Calebs, they only gave him 1 year and then they hired all the 1st year teachers (no exceptions, as far as I know) and it was his first year. I think that is correct, not 100% on that.
  25. I thought last year they had a couple good JV guards, one of them was Stenzel's younger brother. If they can develop and help with ball handling, I think Clark Co. will be a load to handle.
