Cooper/Ryle Predictions
I was thinking along those same lines although I think a late score by Ryle gets them to the 17 point margin. Should be a good game.

Covington Catholic 20 Highlands 19 (Frosh)
I may have missed it but I don't think I've seen any HHS poster say that they will be back to the complete dominance with this group. If so that is simply not realistic. That was a special run. As pointed out, it's very obvious that several other top schools also have more cavalry coming, CCH, Ryle and SK to name three and I'm sure there are others that will be reloading. You're are right that it's going to be exciting times in NKY over the next few years.

I know they also lost to Trinity, not sure about the other.

Bluegrasspreps' Class 6A Rankings - Discussion (9/26)
Why bother my friend? You and I and everyone else following the game know what happened. Except for one guy who lives in his own little world.

Union Raiders cancel games vs Boyle County for this weekend.
That's a shame, has to be pretty neat for kids that age to travel for a game.

Bluegrasspreps' Class 6A Rankings - Discussion (9/26)
Neither team struggled on offense, both struggled on defense, what defense there was anyway.

Highlands - the cavalry is coming?
Going back over the monster run HHS averaged about 3-4 boys, or 5%, from out of the city. Stars in that time that I can think of were all home grown. Pat, Hoge, Collingsworth, Roller, Houliston, etc. But let him go, he's on a roll.

Did you even READ the title of the thread? A question was asked about the future.

Is Boyle County the best team in the western side of Kentucky 3A?
I hope so, one of my favorite teams.

Bluegrasspreps' Class 6A Rankings - Discussion (9/26)
Obviously there are a lot of factors. I was asked why my opinion was that Ryle is third. I based it on what I saw on the field from Ryle, SK, Scott and X. After the top two it's a crapshoot.

Bluegrasspreps' Class 6A Rankings - Discussion (9/26)
No argument, I can only base my opinion on what I saw in the games. Let's face it, most of the teams are going to have games where you can only say, "what the heck was that?"

Bluegrasspreps' Class 6A Rankings - Discussion (9/26)
Going by what I saw from both teams, yes. I think it would be a barn burner but as I said, I think Morgan is the difference maker.

Bluegrasspreps' Class 6A Rankings - Discussion (9/26)
Eye test. I saw three of the four teams ahead of them and from what I saw on the field Ryle is better. Morgan is a difference maker.

Highlands - the cavalry is coming?
I love how those ignorant about the program want to argue with those close to the program about what talent is in the pipeline. Lol.

Ryle should be third.

Highlands - the cavalry is coming?
Lot's of people don't get that. That streak will not be repeated but 100 years of success, no losing season in 60 years, and playing in 50% of the state title games over the last 57 years gives us a confidence that this most certainly is an outlier. I recall similar calls of the demise on here in the years following the 1998-2000 run, particularly after HHS was humiliated by Rockcastle in 2002. What happened? Returned to the SC game in 2003 and ended Boyle Co's SC streak in 2004. Shut out at home in the playoffs in 2005 and lost to CCH twice in 2006 and the funerals started back up. What happened? 8 straight SC games in a row. People just don't learn but it does provide amusement. And a glimmer of hope for them.

Because they know they won't have the chance to take shots for long. We know it, they know it, everyone knows it. Smell the fear.

Highlands /Simon Kenton. No more.
Come on guys, several of us told you two years ago this would happen. A Marksberry can't change his spots. I do look forward to his annual games with T. That's what he'll do, right?
