Floyd Central High School in eastern Kentucky is situated at the bottom of a steep hill while their football field is at the top. When I went to a game there several years ago, they used school buses as back and forth shuttles to assist with this very problem. I would image Newport Catholic could do something similar, although I don't know what bus availability is like at private schools compared to public.

While I agree with you, making a coaching decision about a D1 football program based on whether the current quarterback likes him is very short-sighted. At best, Boley has three more years at UK. If he continues to progress, with NIL and the transfer portal, he could have even fewer. If you're still going 6-6 three years from now because a kid with decent numbers liked him at the time, you've used the wrong strategy.

Open by choice? Didn’t DeMarcus Smith leave Western to go to Evangel with Brandon Bender a few years ago, only to see the whole thing blow up? Valley also had to forfeit some games last year for using an ineligible player. He’s had success but seems like there’s always baggage.

Really nice place, although I wish they had put in new visitors bleachers. The current ones have been there forever, sit low to the ground, and feel like they're falling backwards. That's the only thing missing from an otherwise great facility.

They always have good basketball at Montgomery and baseball has had some solid years, too. Are there enough athletes? Do they share?
