Stoops’ job is safe regardless if he beats Louisville.

You think he's done enough? I tend to think so, too, but if they lose to Louisville the same way they lost to Vanderbilt today it will get real loud.

Yes I do think he’s done enough and I can assure you Louisville won’t beat them like Vandy did.

I don't think he has done enough at all, and majority of schools would fire him. Has a losing overall record, a horrible SEC record where he has lost double the amount of games he has won. The only time he wins SEC games is against SEC teams who have losing records. So yes he should and would be gone at the majority of schools.

However, with the contract UK gave him, they may try to justify keeping him, cause they beat a few bad SEC teams who fired their coaches. When the only real reason why they would keep him, is because of how expensive it would be to fire him.

He has more wins than any coach in Ky football history, and who could have done better with the talent he’s had to work with? Ky isn’t in the “majority “ when discussing football, and who would come to Ky that could do any better? Boley is on the Stoops bandwagon, so why jeopardize him leaving as well? Pros outweigh the cons IMO.

I always love when people say who could come in and do better. Being happy with literally being bottom tier of the conference. While the same things use to be said about Indiana and who could ever go there and win at a high level. Yet they get a coach who went in there right away and won at a high level. We see now Vandy on the verge of a possible playoff birth. While UK even in Stoops two best years, still wouldn’t have have made the playoffs, since they never had less than 3 losses. 
 

Mark Stoops no doubt deserves all kinds of credit for the job he did here, and brining it up from what he had when he took over. There is no denying it has been going down hill though, and probably reached his peak here at UK. Much like Cal reached his peak and was best for both parties to part ways. 
 

As for Boley, he may like Stoops. However, money is going to be the driving factor more so than Stoops. Plus would depend on who they brought in. Especially since the track record for UK offenses and UK QBs really going and doing much while here under Stoops isn’t good.  The only year a QB seemed to have a really big year under Stoops was when they had a OC who is now a NFL head coach. And yet even he didn’t want to be here cause of the handcuffs Stoops puts on his OC’s. Maybe he is learning to let his current OC be more free.

Stoops did a good job here. However, just like with Cal probably would be good for both parties to move on. Except unlike with Cal, Stoops probably isn’t going to help matters by leaving on his own. Which makes UK stuck with him. 
 

Do I know for sure someone would come and do better? Nope. Do I think you need to at least try? Absolutely! As we have seen other teams do exactly that.

While I agree with you, making a coaching decision about a D1 football program based on whether the current quarterback likes him is very short-sighted. At best, Boley has three more years at UK. If he continues to progress, with NIL and the transfer portal, he could have even fewer. If you're still going 6-6 three years from now because a kid with decent numbers liked him at the time, you've used the wrong strategy.
