What will Male look like next year? Any skill players back? Those were the biggest offensive and defensive lines I can recall Male ever fielding. Any of those guys back?

Congratulations Rocks !!!!!!!!!!! Another classic game against Male. It is a shame that #1. Somebody had to lose, and #2 This was not for the state title. That Male team was as good as any I have seen, (Bush included). We are already planning the "road trip". Nothing like Rock football on Thanksgiving weekend. GO ROCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I heard that the KHSAA will decide tomorrow if this game will be played at PJCS or Male. Just a rumor, but has anyone else heard the same?

I am sure Male will be ready. All I am saying is that it seems like MANY aren't giving us much of a chance at winning this game. Same kind of scenerio that surrounded the title game last year. I like how things played out.

If you go by the poll, we might as well pack it up now and have the kids turn in their equipment. Seems to be alot of people that think Male is the best team in the state. That could be true. It is also true that the best team does not always win. Trinity likes to play games when no one gives us a chance to win. The Rocks will be ready whether the game is at Cardinal Stadium, Male, or an open field out in the country. GO ROCKS!!!!!!

Nope, does not bother me a bit. Let's also remember that the daily language most of these kids use is much worse than what comes out of a coach's mouth.

If you want to judge our team this year based on the 1st game of the season, be my guest. You obviously have much disdain for the Rocks, and that is ok too. We are used to it. We would be a big underdog if we played Hoover. However, we were a big underdog when we crushed Elder a few years back, and we could not have been a bigger underdog in last year's state game. (which we won). Trinity likes adversity and does not shy away from it. It makes you a better player/person.

I doubt the offense will be clicking by 9/22 and that is ok. Rivalry games are fun, but the important one is in December. Don't get me wrong, I like beating x, but a non-district game early in the season just doesn't compare to the playoffs and title game. If it takes awhile for the Rocks to gel ( as has been the case with our teams lately) so be it. I have some x alum friends that can get you an x t-shirt if you would like one;)

I agree with you. It is obvious that some areas take football more seriously than we do. However, I think that the interest level in this state is rising every year. My point is: more people = more interest, more resources, better teams.
