Did your team meet/exceed/fall short of their expectations for this year?

My guess if you asked a fan of either CovCath, or the Team from Ft. Thomas, they would tell you to wait until later in the season....Schools like these two, don't look at success by just having a winning record.:thumb:

True, but for many others, Monday will be a day to turn in equipment and clean out the lockers.

I think Bardstown has exceeded all expectations from locals this year who expected to see somewhat of a dropoff after last year's graduation.

Depends on who you talk to about the Admirals of Danville; some would say they exceeded their expectations of beating Boyle, winning 9 games, while others will say that Danville fell short of doing what they were expected to do, like win 10 games, secure home field throughout the playoffs, etc...for me, I guess it is a little bit of both!

Well, Mercer Co. met Larry Vaughts expectations.:D

Still will be crushed not to make it to Papa Johns, even with a perfect regular season.

I believe Johnson Central exceeded expectations! They lost the leading rusher in the state and a leader in Shawn Music who was awesome. Who would have thought that JCHS would have an even better back and a better team in the 06 season?

You started the thread but never told us how you thought your team did this year. Who's your team, and how did they do in your eyes?

The B-town Tigers have exceeded all expectations to this point but, the only relevant goals don't begin to be measured until next friday. I can recall a few B-town teams who did very well to this point in the season, then couldn't close the deal. If this team continues to display the incredible teamwork it has displayed thus far, the sky is the limit. Two members of this team told me 2 years ago before the start of the season that this was the year to win it all. I hope they were right. GO TIGERS!!! Oh yea, what I was trying to say is that this team has not met their expectations yet.

I'm going to say the exact same thing about LCA.

Lincoln County has already exceeded my expectations, but there is still work to be done.

For GRC..yes and no...They finished as a 2nd seed in the district, which is where I thought they may finish, but have the talent to be the first seed and make some noise in the playoffs.....will have to wait and see.

I think the Devils met expectations. Played thru injuries but against weak competition. Offense is dominate - in all areas and likely more than any 2a defense can handle... State Championship this year for Devils is based upon an overwhelming offense and a defense that is average up the middle and on containment but full of experienced kids who can play and rally to the football. Coaching always shines thru at Russell.

Season starts in two weeks....

If Devils protect the football , they are going back to the box ... My only concern would be a close game late into the fourth ... other than Ashland we haven't had one ... Also have had no physical test on both sides of the ball all year ....

If a physical test on both sides of the ball never comes .. start sizing the rings ....

When looking at Williamsburg, they exceeded my personal expectations. Losing a head coach before summer practice started was tough and these kids could have folded the tent. Jerry Herron and his staff kept these kids together, the captains, Aaron Root, Thomas Frazier, AJ Jusino, Chase Hamlin, and Steven Jefferies have provided great senior leadership, and in talking with these kids they have found a great chemistry and closeness. The one thing coach Herron really sells and the kids have totally bought into, is pride in wearing the orange. My hats off to this fine coaching staff, and especially these hard fighting young men! Now lets go get Harlan!

Expectations at Danville are always high, I think they are having a very good season despite the loss to Frankfort and I look for them to make a good run at the title.

Lincoln Co. has exceeded expectations, I knew they had some good skilled players this year, but the "O" line has got better every week. The "D" maybe the biggest suprise of all, they give up very few big plays. In the Montgomery game the defense kept LC in the game until the Offense finally came alive late.

Good luck to the PATS.:thumb:
