Trinity 50 Eastern 32

Featured Replies

Final from the Trinity web broadcast. Surprised the Eagles scored so many in this one.

From what I heard on the broadcast there were a number of injuries to the Trinity D in this game.

Trinity jumped up 22-0 with the D forcing two punts from Eastern from their own endzone (both blocked, 1 TD, 1 safety). Late in the first quarter the defense subbed quite heavily. Eastern's QB got some momentum and scored some TDs. The game was never in doubt, but the Rock D never got that dominate feeling after the first quarter and Eastern started to make some plays. I think Eastern caught at least 4 tipped balls for first downs. Eastern's QB is a player. On the plus side Flynn returned on offense and looked very good. Sophmore JaMar Kirksey subbed for Tim Williams for the second week and looked very good. The Rocks played everyone on defense again this week during actual gametime, this will pay off later in the year.

No worries from this fan.......

^ Tim Phillips ;)

Sorry, I had a Jody Demling moment there.

Well I called that one bad. Congrats to T for the win, and Eastern for scoring so much.

Who?

Who?

I do not remember any names but I know they mentioned a starting linebacker going out. The name does not come to mind though. Once Trinity was up 22-0 in the first quarter my attention drifted in and out.

Weitlauf with an elbow injury, Spoelker with an ankle, Mellilow groin. Hall will be back at practice Monday. Not sure about Wes, but the other two should be ready for Ballard.

Yeah, what he said.

With all due respect, just because a young man chooses to play high school football does he lose his right to privacy?

If one of the players you mentioned is your son (and he is under 18) then it is your right to give details about injuries but IMVHO it is crossing the line when ANYONE provides information about a players injury without the permission of the player and/or his parents. We as fans have no right to that information.

^ We've all discussed this information about other schools. It is not malicious in intent, therefore I see no harm.

What if the kid doesn't want it discussed? It doesn't matter to me what school is being discussed.

I know there is no malicious intent but I wonder what the kids think about having this kind of information posted.

^ Who knows? I mean I see your point. But also know that if I were playing for Trinity right now, and couldn't play due to injury, and people were on here discussing it, I would be flattered, and happy about it.
